Highly recommended for children with sensitive eczema prone skin
I have been using this cream on my son for about a week and already there is a noticeable difference to his eczema prone skin. My son is 3 years of age. He has been experiencing very bad flare up of eczema this summer on his wrists, face, elbows and behind knees to the point all other prescribed creams were strings and irritating him. This is gentle on his sensitive skin and my boy is comfortable when I applying it all over his body. I do use it twice a day morning and evening all over. I suspect it will not last long however given the results so far, I am happy to get this regardless of cost as it is the only cream that has actually eased the symptoms of eczema in my son. Highly recommended x

Amazingly effective product.
I’ve tried many other creams over the years but this is a in league of its own. Excellent product.

Huge fan of this cream
I’ve suffered from eczema and dry skin for years - until I started using this product regularly. I was first prescribed it by my doctor to help with a nasty flare-up on my back. I thought the size of the bottle was a bit over the top, until I realised how much I’d need to use haha. It’s a great consistency - cream, but not too thick that it’s hard to spread. It soaks in quickly but literally made my skin softer after just a couple of days. I was using steroid creams as well at first, but since the prescription ended I now use this daily and my skin troubles have never returned. There is a slight medicinal smell to it when first applying (think faint antiseptic smell) but it is undetectable once you have clothes on.What I also like is that you can get travel size versions of this cream too - I keep one in my wash bag at all times (although the consistency of the travel size is runnier).Since I haven’t had a flare up for months, I now purchase this myself rather than expecting the NHS to stump up every month or so - you can get it cheaper in high street chemists etc but I find their stock levels are very hit or miss, so I opt to pay £1 more on Amazon for the guarantee I’ll get it.

The best emollient I've used, but expensive
In our family we have a combination of psoriasis, eczema, unexplained hives and generally dry skin, so we use a lot of emollients. I first came across Epaderm a few years back, when looking for a cream to wash my daughter's eczema-prone skin, and was immediately impressed. In fact, with a combination of Epaderm and non-bio washing powder we managed to control the eczema to such a great extent that she has not needed more than minimal treatment with hydrocortisones since. I have psoriasis, including on my face, and again a combination of Epaderm, vitamin e creams and castor oil (random, but true!) for both washing and moisturising had similar effects, I have probably reduced my use of corticosteroids by around two-thirds.In due course we started to use Epaderm for all body washing and moisturising and it was amazing - but it was expensive. So for the last year or so I've tried various other emollients that are cheaper. For a few months that seemed to work fine, but ultimately the dry skin problems returned and I had to buy additional moisturisers to use after washing with the (cheaper) emollients, which defeated the object. So I have returned to Epaderm and once again, finding it brilliant. To summarise, it's great. My experience is that eczema, psoriasis and general dry skin are better off washed and moisturised with Epaderm; as an aside, it's also great for clearing and preventing irritation in skin folds (ladies blessed with larger than average boobs will appreciate this!) and is good under make-up: it makes a great tinted moisturiser when mixed with foundation. They even seem to have upgraded the packaging recenlty so it's easier to dispense than it used to be.Having tried pretty much all of the competition, this is by far my favourite, but boy do the costs add up, and that's why I'm removing one star. That said, the results and ease of use mean that I've decided to bite that particular bullet and stick with it.

No more itchy red and bumpy arms!!!
I decided to get some of this cream as others have used it for their eczema - I've got it pretty bad over the last few years. This is an absolute godsend. I haven't itched my arms for about 2-3 weeks now since I started using it!!! And I haven't taken any allergy tablets too! I still get the occasional breakout of eczema (few spots here and there at the inside of elbow) but at least I am not itching my arms!I did try another brand of cream which was similar in that it was for eczema/psoriasis and parrafin based but I found it was clogging up my skin and the cream had a thin layer of water on top which probably meant that it was going off... It clearly wasn't good so I swapped over to epaderm. Unfortunately they have the biggest range of products and epaderm has a very small range.I also tried another cream that I got which was fragrance free and meant to be applying intensive moisture but I felt like I was still itching my arms almost every day and my skin was still bumpy. It got to a point where the itching would make my arms bleed sometimes and I also had to take allergy tablets too! Not good.Epaderm has changed all of this - I like the pump as you can just take out how much u need and unlike a big pot - you don't cross contaminate like the other big pot of cream I tried before where the water was separating out of the cream! I haven't itched myself in a while - apart from occasionally on my back but the south east of England has had a heatwave for a good 2 weeks now and my arms still aren't itching at all! Thank goodness!I won't use it on my face though as I feel like the cream is too thick and will clog me all up so I will need to find something else for the face...

Great
Fantastic cream for dry skin, it is the only thing that has consistently worked for my husband’s dry hands. Always get the big bottle which is good value for money and lasts a long time.
