Loops 8
Loop8 plays as a story-heavy JRPG with turn-based battles. The story is advanced through reading text and selecting response options through a dialogue tree. Multiple paths and endings occur based on said choices.Time management is also an aspect of gameplay - the game plays out on a calendar system, with various actions and choices taking up units of time. Character's moods and reactions vary based on when in the story they are addressed by the player.

This is just a bad mobile game disguised as a console game
Sadly, despite the beautiful art, nice soundtrack, and quality voice acting, this game is not fun.It tasks the player with grinding for experience under a strict time limit, forcing them to rely on the RNG gods to consistently give a favorable loadout, before wiping all their progress away and making them do it all again. You almost need to save-scum in order to have a decent chance of building up enough social points in order to beat each boss. The game initially makes it seem like all the characters have some sort of profound depth, but if you keep talking to them, you will quickly realize they will only ever cycle between the same seven or so lines of dialog. No matter what happens in the story, the characters rarely have unique lines of dialog that reference it. Every interaction is filled with generalities provided by the narrator, which makes the socialization aspect of Loop8 feel hollow. The gameplay is thoroughly unpleasant, and better suits a 10-minute subway ride rather than a 2-hour couch gaming session.

Beautiful But Repetitive
Gorgeous artwork and design, however, the gameplay is extremely repetitive and the game throws you in the deep end with almost zero explanation. Playing was a slog and I gave up approximately 3-5 hours in. It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to this title.

An interesting story, if you have the time.
An interesting game, if you can bare all the time ya will need to get invested into it. What you have here is a life simulation with role-playing mechanics that is barely a thing when the game plays more like an interactive movie/anime.
