I use it on a variety of fruits and vegetables, including potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, asparagus, parsnips, and apples, and it handles them all with ease. The blade is incredibly sharp, making peeling quick and efficient, even for tougher skins like potatoes.The handle is another standout feature—it’s comfortable to hold, provides a secure grip even when my hands are wet, and doesn’t cause fatigue during longer prep sessions. The peeler is also very durable; after 8 months of regular use, it’s still in perfect condition and just as sharp as the day I got it.However, the sharpness can be a double-edged sword. While it’s fantastic for larger items, I’ve found it tricky to use on smaller, rounder items like small potatoes. It’s easy to accidentally catch your fingers, so I prefer to use a different peeler for those.Overall, I highly recommend the OXO Good Grips Y Peeler. This OXO good grips fruit and vegetable slicer works very well, this is my third OXO good grips product I have purchased this year and every one has delivered beyond expectations. I use it primarily for peeling apples, it is very sharp so the blade protector is a welcome bonus. It is well made and robust, the design allows it to sit nicely in the hand whether you are left or right handed and it is just the right size for slicing both fruit and vegetables, as with all the OXO good grips products I have bought I think this is a really exceptional product for the price and I can whole heartedly recommend it.

This peeler is so nice and smooth, it makes peeling so easy and quick! It can peel a variety of different foods, and it has quite a thick handle which makes it easier to hold.

Fantastic peeler. It cuts through vegetables like butter. Only thing is make sure you keep your fingers out of the way as it’s also very good at cutting them too.I use this to make carrot ribbons and it’s so easy. Much easier than my old peeler.
