Beads water on a soft top like a just-waxed roof.
The media could not be loaded. OK, this stuff is brilliant. I have never used a product lke this, never even thought about it. I just assumed the soft top on my convertible was meant to go damp and dry out as the sun hit it. Hey, I never got wet inside so why would I worry? But this stuff is amazing, it's like putting a plastic shell over your roof which has been polished. I painted my convertible top in about 40 minutes, out of direct sunlight. When it dried I threw a glass of water over it and was amazed - the water literally raced off the top of it! I will try and post a video as I was amazed, this stuff is so simple to paint on (use a normal 2 inch paint brush, or smaller or larger - size really doesn't matter) and let it dry.Tips:Paint from the middle outDon't paint in direct sunlightIF YOU ARE THINKING OF DOING THE ROOF DYE REPAIR., DO IT ******BEFORE****** YOU APPLY THIS STUFF.This product will bead any liquid you put onto a soft top after application, it is brilliant. A 500ml bottle does a medium soft top with a bit left over. Finally make sure you clean it off the paintwork afterwards - you can polish it off but its a pain so catch it quickly.Update April 2016 -I have just re-waterproofed my roof using this great stuff again. I should really have done it last year as it seems that the waterproofing lasts about 1 season, but ran out of time. By way of update I got 500ml to do two coats of the roof again, I think 1 litre as recommended would be overkill. I applied the first coat, waited 4 hours then did a second using a paint kettle and 2 inch brush. To get the proofer to cover the roof you have to "splot" the brush a bit onto the roof and then when it starts to soak in you can spread it with the brush. Again, make sure you don't let the stuff get on the paintwork. This time when it happened I immediately diluted with water and then used a chamois to get off.I have uploaded a couple of pics showing how I applied it, wrapping a dust sheet around the car, with a before pic showing how soaked the roof was normally and an after pic, plus a quick video of just how good this stuff is. It also helped to have the roof raised slightly off of the A pillar so the proofer didn't drip onto the windscreen and caught on a sheet on the inside instead.

Not bad
Does what you expect from a Proofer. Much better than a spray alternative. For this kind of money you’re better off getting the 2 part Autoglym cleaner and proofer, much less hassle and the same results

Works well, and quick to apply.
I cleaned our mini's roof for the first time in years with the cleaner from the same brand. And followed up with the waterproofer. For a while now the roof would become saturated with rain. But after one coat of this (using the whole bottle) the rain that same night sat on top of the roof in beads and puddles. I'm very pleased with how quick and easy it was to use.

Very happy and the soft top looks like new.
I used this to re waterproof the soft top on my 2006 Audi A4 cabriolet. First I cleaned the top using Renovo's soft top canvas cleaner and a soft top cleaning brush that I also bought on Amazon. I cleaned the top twice and used about half of the half litre bottle of cleaner. The hood came up really clean but there were some minor stains that did not come out probably from tree sap. I then used the Renovo black soft top reviver and managed to get one coat on the top from the half litre bottle. It did a good job of hiding the minor stains. I did this outdoors as I don't have a garage and after about two hours on a cool August evening I checked and the restorer was touch dry. I then covered the hood using a thin plastic painting drop sheet of 4 meters by 4 meters and left it over night. The next morning was showery so during a dry spell I applied the Renovo ultra proofer and only just had enough to give it one coat from the half litre bottle. I let it get touch dry and then recovered it with the plastic sheet couple of times when rain showers came through and uncovered it each time afterward. The soft top which was a bit stained and green in places looks like new. When it rains lightly the water beads up on the top but if it rains heavily the top will appear to be wet. Here is a tip for those who are going to clean and reproof their convertible tops, before you apply the restorer or reproofer use a lint roller to remove the small fibres that have been left behind from scrubbing the soft top fabric with the brush. I got some of the restorer and reproofer on the windows and the trims around the top but it was easy to clean off with a damp cloth. Overall I am very happy and the top looks like new.

Very effective
As other reviews say, this is really effective. Seeing rainwater bead up and roll off is very satisfying!I've been using this stuff for years, and after some experimentation I find the easiest way to apply it is with a small sponge. The first coat is easy enough, but by the time you try to apply the second coat the roof is already pretty waterproof, so the new coat tends to bead and run off. Using a sponge causes the second coat to be absorbed with minimum faff.

There are better products you can use to waterproof your soft-top
I love the majority of Renovo products - I recently used their cleaner, reviver and waterproofer products for my car's annual roof maintenance schedule. The cleaner is I think the only soft-top cleaner that contains anti-mildew and mould inhibitor, so can help stop green spots from appearing on your roof. The reviver transforms your faded soft-top to a nice deep black again. However the Ultra Proofer reviewed here doesn't really seem that effective - I gave it the required number of coats and rather than seeing the water bead off even after a prolonged downpour, my roof was saturated (not really a problem as it has an impermeable layer underneath, but it's nice to see it running off!)I followed this up with a couple of coats of Fabsil Gold, and now the water beads off perfectly even after it's rained all night - in fact it's a pain as when you open the door and get in all the droplets collect and you get wet. :)I'd recommend you try this and if it works for you great, but bear in mind you might get better results from Fabsil Gold.
