Great Laptop Stand
I was looking for a good sturdy, handy laptop stand and I found it. It's Lavolta stand. I would disagree with some reviews for this stand as I read all of them especially for one and two star ratings. In my opinion it's everything what you need but first things first:Pros:1. It is sturdy enough2. It is good quality - it's aluminium ( it's light and strong enough ) not plastic so I don't know why people are complaining3. I'm using my 17" laptop on it that weight around 4kg and I feel safe.4. I'am using it on 2 seater leather sofa and while I'm in bed and It's fine so I again don't understand that 2 star review by Jim ( stand will be moving a bit in a bed as the mattress is not sturdy :P )5. It doesn't take too much space as the bamboo ones so its perfect for bed.6. The best thing about it is that you can adjust it in many ways.Cons:1. The desk surface is not slippery free, I think buying antislip rubber tape and putting few stripes on it will solve the issue.2. It shouldn't be call as Table Desk more like a stand as in highest position you won't be able to use it while sitting on a chair but it is not the purpose for it.I hope my review helped a bit.

Does the job - few niggles
I'm using this with an ASUS ROG GL702VS 17" Gaming Laptop - as the laptop runs quite hot the intended purpose was to give the laptop some elevation for air flow when on the couch/bed and to provide a decent surface to use it on comfortably. The laptop fits perfectly onto the stand which is a relief as the laptop is HUGE.The build quality seems excellent and it supports the weight of the laptop admirably. The underside fans are mostly useless - makes 1 degree of difference to the GPU under load but your mileage may vary. The mouse pad is a little small - usuable for browsing but not really suitable for gaming, definitely wish this had been better. With that said it should be relatively simple to fashion a larger replacement out of wood or thin metal.Overall a fairly good product.

Couldn't do without it. :)
I bought one of these about four years ago. As someone that's bed bound due to disabilities this really did change my life. I can sit up in bed and use my laptop as though I was sitting at a desk. The old one eventually broke, but to get four years of use out of it (used it 10+ hours a day) for the price of it is fantastic.I just put the metal mouse mat on the bed next to me instead of attaching it to the stand. Far more comfortable too use as my whole forearm is support by the bed.Just take note that the space between the legs is going to be to small for someone with large hips. I'm average and it's fine for me, even if I have a duvet over the top of me.Able bodied or not, this is a fantastically good piece of equipment and a great price.(p.s. the back flow from the fans keep your legs cool in the summer :) )

Very Good laptop monitor stand - No good as a table desk
The Lavolra works very well as a simple monitor stand for my 15" MacBook Pro. Unlike many laptop monitor stands it leaves plenty of clear space below it which is both pleasing to see and leaves space for other items. Some laptop stands do not raise the display height enough for a healthy workstation set up. It is not robust enough to use as table desk as it wobbles from side to side and flexes if you attempt to write on it. It is advertised as a table desk. It packs down very well for storage and is light and robust enough to easily carry. Adjusting the height works very well after a bit of fiddling to see what suits you although it is much quicker the second time you do it. It may be useful to note down the angles for your own set up if you are puttinging it up an taking it down on a regular basis.I have not tested the fan which has a power socket but no connector or charger. Possibly a part was missing. However I have no need for the fan as heat seems to dissipate very well anyway. Nor have I tested the mouse attachement as the whole stand wobbles and flexes too much to use as a table. On a final note there is a very misleading photograph of a women sitting on the couch as using it as a laptop stand opened fully and based upon the floor. When I tried it on a normal height couch it only came to the height of my knees and even then was unstable. I have however used it by sitting it across my lap resing on the cushions with my laptop, ipad and book where it works well.Very good as a laptop monitor stand both on the desk and good across you lap on a wide chair and in bed. Avoid if you want to use it as a table desk. I have not tested the fan unit as no power lead was supplied in my unit.
