DecoArtAmericana Acrylic Metallic Paint, Splendid Gold,59 ml (Pack of 1)

This is paint is so beautiful, we used it to make our sons school project of making a 3d London landmark. We used it to paint the Big Ben and the house of parliament. The paint dries up really quickly which is great, it's so smooth and shiny, we were able to draw on the paint once it was dry with a marker. I bought it in purple too

The media could not be loaded. It leaves a flawless finish, the colour is really beautiful and most importantly you are getting a professional product for an amazing price. I love the colour so much I will be buying another one to paint maybe photo frames an a dressing tabel.

I was looking for a well reviewed gold paint to complete an art project . This seemed to fair well in reviews so I purchased it along with the silver . Big mistake on the silver (see separate review), but the gold is quite pretty. It’s not in your face sparkling gold, but more subtle. I like it for what I was wanting it for. But id you want more shimmer this isn’t suitable .It is quite watery compared to acrylics I’m accustomed to but it did the job for me. I did however mix it with sand, not sure if that made a difference ?

I bought this to paint paper mache & wooden letters as well as stones/rocks.I painted this particular paper mache letter with 2 coats of white acrylic paint first, so that the gold would 'pop'. I then painted 2 coats of this gold metallic paint (I've left the edges to paint red) and it looks absolutely stunning for what I wanted it for. It covers well but does need a couple of coats to make sure it's all even and not streaky or patchy.There's no funny smell like some acrylic paint has & it washed off my hands with no trouble.I'd definitely recommend it, I can't wait to try the other colours!If you have found my review helpful in any way please click on the 'helpful' button below.
