NEWBANG Smart Front Door Handleset with Keypad for Double Doors - Electronic Lockset with Dummy Set

I saw several reviews that made this product sound risky. What I did take from the reviews was that I needed to pay close attention to the directions. When I did that, working slowly and carefully, it came out perfectly. The doors look great and work great. The programming is another area that required careful reading of the directions.I can only imagine that some of those bad reviews were written by people who didn't read the instructions. I had no problems at all.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is gorgeous! So glad I did not return it. It's a little finicky when trying to set it up. You must read the directions no matter how many times you've installed door handles.It can be used on multiple sizes in this may cause you to think it's wrong. It has lots of little variations that you can do to ensure it works for your door so again, read directions!Even the lock and unlock works completely different from all other motorized locks that I have. Rather than completely turning the lock, it saves battery by just engaging the lock then you must use your thumb to turn the actual lock. This may cause you to think that it's not working properly.I can't say this enough... READ THE DIRECTIONS!I actually set up a refund on this but then decided to give it a shot. So glad I did not refund it. Check out the picture above. It came out beautifully!

Installed fine, I followed instructions. However, the programming doesn’t work. The default code works, but it will not program new codes. Other buyers have had this problem recently. I emailed the company and they only resent the instructions for programming that still doesn’t work. Hoping for a replacement that works

I like this lock. It’s a perfect fit for my door. We were having issues with a door handle that wasn’t closing properly- it was just too old and really needed replacing. While I love the sleek modern look of this and the nice solid lock, it does feel a little lighter than my old iron door handle. I am crossing my fingers it holds up and doesn’t rust at any point. For now, it locks nice and smooth and it shuts without having to pull it so we are super happy. My house is visually more inviting now :)

I was desperate to try this door keypad entry. I installed and while programming I notice it wasn’t lighting up anymore. Reached out to the company describe my issue and tried to reprogrammed. They sent me a new instantly without hesitation. The first old has a damaged wire due to improper installation

Make sure you check the left/right door part, I didn't and it didn't initially lock. Once that was figured out, easy-peeezy. A few notes:- Looks great and is easy to use- It does not connect to Alexa, the robot-lady that runs me casa. I wish it did, be nice to be able to control it from that interface.- Spare side doesn't hold the lock position, I glued it but be nice if it could be set.- It is nice how the Amazon page specifically notes the lock part I mentioned above, I was worried I'd be stuck with a lock that didn't lock :)Good purchase, give it a try-

VERY poorly engineered product: The product came nicely packed. But that was the end of what I could say about this double door handle set.FIRST OFF: This is for a double door in which one door stays "pegged" into the bottom at the floor and "pegged" at the top of the jamb. This is the stationary door you do not enter or exit from. The other set of hardware is for the exit and entry door. The "kit" came with 2 lever handles that both have a spring mechanism in them. The one for the "dummy' door should not have had anything but a fixed handle. As a result I had to butcher up my door to make room for all the spring mechanism and pegs and other machined bosses the should never had been there.SECONDLY: The blank round plug that is included for the "dummy door" was thicker than the bezel for the door handle plate (with the kit). Therefore the dummy door round plug did not sit flush with the provided door handle bezel with the kit as it was installed.THIRDLY: The "Dummy" inside lock lever for the dummy door was once again (as was the case for the door handle) simply a duplicate of the functioning one for the exit/entry door side-- also complete with unecessary castings that had to be either somehow cut off or simply drill another hole in your door for it to mounted flush. Once again, VERY POORLY ENGINEERED.This kit was a nightmare to install. I do renovations and I have installed many a double door (french door) lock sets. If I had installed this for a customer I would have had to charge at least twice what this door handle kit cost. Definitely not for the Do it Yourself-er.I considered giving this product only one star. But for the sake of it actually works (for how long I don't know yet) I gave it two stars since it does work.

The looks is almost flawless, some edges have like a hair thin crack. The latch feels cheap in the way that when touched it has a wobbly feel before applying pressure to unlock. But for the price, it works and looks great from afar 😆.
