Strong metallic screws, and hard plastic nuts and washers I got them as replacement for the plastic ones that came with the seat when it was first installed that broke yesterday at night. These fixing are easy to install u just need a screw driver and they are very strong they held the cover in its place, they will fit any toilet seat. If you need any fixings get these ones highly recomended

Once I had worked out how to use them (some instructions would be helpful) they secured the seat very well. Better than the fittings that came with the loo. Unfortunately they have still allowed the seat fittings to move and will need re-aligning again, but they have lasted much longer and the design means they can just be re-positioned easily and efficiently. Worth the investment but not perfect!

I bought these because one of the original rubber fixings had torn. In an attempt to hide the fixings the toilet manufacturer had put them in a ridiculously difficult place and used top-fixing screws and expanding plugs. These ones were a reasonable replacement and did the job. The quoted dimensions were a bit confusing...cm? mm? It would also have been useful to know what diameter hole they were suitable for.
