Has anyone used this a HOT not COLD box please? Does it actually heat to the claimed 65 Degrees?

Yes, I've used mine once and it worked pretty well to keep some party food warm. I can't vouch for 65 degrees exactly but it did get warmer than I expected it too. So much so that the door expanded and made a tight fit to close! All fine again now though. I have the 21 and 35 model of this unit, both of them do the job well albeit 99% of my use is cooling.

did any have to buy a sepperate lead to use in a wagon

You get a 12/24V cigarette lighter type lead with a good length cord. You also get a normal 3 pin plug and lead for domestic use.

How much energy does it consume in 24 hours at 12V DC?

The manual says it takes about 4 amps from a 12 volt battery. A typical car battery can supply 4 amps for 10 to 20 hours depending on the battery capacity. Once the box has cooled down, the cooling should shut off so these are worst case figures for continuous hot weather operation. In addition, the box claims to shut off before it flattens the car battery, always allowing the vehicle to be started. I have not tested this feature.

I want to wire it to my leisure battery, can anyone tell me what its amp/hour consumption is?

Not to sure about the consumption per hour but what I can say is that whilst connect to a 12 volt supply it will run constantant at full power. Yet on a 24volt/240volt supply it will run with its thermostat and will stop and start to the temperature setting you set it at.
