Better than Sedgehammer
Works better than Sedgehammer. I used it on yellow nutsedge. Applicator bottle is excellent. They should all be made like this. Applied in the early summer. Got a few sprouts in July that I hit again. It’s been a persistent problem for years. This has worked the best. Don’t apply in sun. Wait for sundown. It did kill my lavender so treat it like a weed killer.

Absolutely Incredible Product
I am an avid gardener. I have never dealt with a weed called nutsedge. This year it was all over my yard ever where! I read that when you poison nutsedge it takes 2 to 3 weeks to see the results. Using this product the nutsedge started dying by the next day! Plus it kills about 50 other weeds. My yard never looked so good. I am extremely impressed with this Ortho product. It did NOT affect my centipede grass yard at all. BTW, pulling nutsedge up without getting all the roots will do no good, it will just come back. This product kills the roots completely!

Did the job
I sprayed this on nutsedge that was taking over part of my backyard. After about 2 days the nutsedge had turned brown and after about 4 days it was dead. It’s been about a week now and the nutsedge hasn’t returned but I saved half of the bottle of this product just in case I need to do a second treatment. This weed killer also took care of some different weeds in the vicinity. I like that this sprays easily with a hose attached but I’m deducting one star because sometimes it’s not clear from the nozzle switch if it’s in “water” mode or if it’s actually spraying the chemicals onto the lawn. I accidentally bumped the switch and didn’t realize until a few minutes later and the water may have diluted the weedkiller I had just sprayed down. But overall this is a great product and more effective than other weed treatments I’ve used on my lawn.

It worked for me. This is the second year of using it!
This is the second year I’ve used this and I’m grateful to have it. The first year I spent hours on my hands and knees “weeding the grass.” I had asked several people if they could tell me what it was so I could get something to take care of it. No help was to be found so I resorted to the internet. Hurray! I found this to be quite quick, not much of an odor, and made easier to use with no mixing required as it would simply attach to the hose. It took just a few days to see results. The nut grass starting turning brown then just kind of faded into the lawn. Last summer it lasted the rest of the summer. I felt that the aggravation was well worth the money for the weed control and it didn’t seem to harm my lawn.

took one day to turn nutedge brown
Definitely did something I spray it on Saturday and the next day the little buds on the nutedge disappeared and the base of it is lightly brown. Definitely is killing the weed. did not discolor or damage my grass at all. ws very east to apply hoping once I cut my grass in a few days it doesn't come back. so far ots okay on centipede grass

I would be careful with this product
Fortunately, I only sprayed a small portion of my tall fescue lawn. A couple of days later, my green lawn was browning where I sprayed the product. Not trusting that the setting of water/ product mixture was accurate for my ready to spray bottle, I called Ortho to get a product to water ratio so I could just add it to my garden sprayer and spray myself. Amazingly, I was told the product was "already diluted" which makes no sense since it has to be used on the end of a garden hose. Not impressed with the company's helpdesk and not sure I trust the product enough to keep using. Will most likely return and go with a product that I can control with my own sprayer. If you use, test on a small area of your lawn first.

Kills it but doesn't keep it from growing back
It worked just like it said, but it didn't stop it from growing back in full force. I still have a brown lawn from the dead parts but the new growth is quickly taking over.

The best!
This is the best product for killing yellow nutsedge! I try not to use chemicals in my garden, but I don’t really believe you can get rid of nutsedge any other way. It just grows so quickly, and the more you pull it out, the more it spreads. Every summer, I try to beat it on my own and every summer I lose. Then I buy this product and nutsedge is gone for the rest of the season with only a few spots needing another treatment afterwards.Be careful not to overspray though. Soaking your grass with this product WILL damage or kill it. I learned this the hard way. Just spray and go, and do another quick pass if you used less than 6 Oz per 1000 sf.Absolutely a life saver!
