I use large eggs and it works great. Don't know about very large but the steam fills the whole chamber, so why not? Probably just needs a little more water.

We get quite a few bantam (small) eggs. Would they fall through the holes?

I believe they won't. The holes are around half an inch (1'5 cm) wide. The eggs had to be quite small to fall through.

How many eggs can i poach at one time, pictures show dish with 4 plus a 2. But instruction book in review only shows dish with 2

I poached four eggs with 65ml of water and they were great. Unfortunately the instructions lack info for the four egg poacher and the omelette. I used 100ml of water for a 2 egg omolette and it was delicious.
