Is this cooktop noisy?

I'm so very pleased with this purchase. Modern looking, fast and extremely quiet. I don't hear any noise coming from the cooker but the bubbling sound coming from boiling soup inside the pot.

Please use the magnet in the package to test the bottom of your cookware first. Only cookwares that stick to the magnet are compatible. Also, please make sure you put a cookware on the induction cooktop before you turn it on. When a compatible cookware is not detected, the induction cooktop displays '----' and shuts of automatically a few seconds later.

I'm really fond of the temperature control feature on the induction cooktop.Has anyone had any experience using this one?

My wife purchased this induction cooker and she likes the temperature control feature.I can tell the temperature is slightly inaccurate in some cases because I'm a control freak and I always use an instant food thermometer when I cook meals. I would say the slight inaccuracy does not stop the food from coming out good but I still prefer to try to make it perfect.I guess this is a common issue of induction cookers.

Can I use my 10 inch alluminum fry pan on it?

I use a 10 inch alluminum fry pan with an induction compatible bottom and a 12 inch cast iron skillet.Both of them works out fine. But you might need to make sure your cookware is induction compatible. The package includes a magnet for you to test the bottom of your cookware. It works if the magnet sticks to it because the induction cooker generates heat by electromagnetic induction.Some expensive cookwares are made with thick copper or alluminum bottoms. They work well with gas but they won't work well with an induction cooktop.
