Bought this for my son at Christmas and he loves it! Well made, waterproof and packs easily into tackle box. Very helpful to quickly identify salt water fish and correct "keeper" sizes.

I like the fishing information at hand with the ruler and the portability of it.

Nice to have all fish regulations easily available.

The Salty Bones Florida Saltwater Lawstick has been a great addition to our fishing gear. It easily fits in our fishing backpack, so it’s always with us when we’re out on the water. The rules are clearly printed and easy to read at a glance, which makes it super convenient. I also love that it has a QR code you can scan to quickly check for any rule updates online. Definitely a must-have for anyone fishing in Florida!

First of all, there’s a whole lotta info packed on this ruler but thankfully it wasn’t a problem to find and read the laws I needed. In the photos everything looks a little small, and I have old eyes, but the text is large enough to read clearly even without my glasses, so that was a pleasant surprise.Secondly, before I got it, I had some concerns it might be easy to snap or break. I didn’t plan on abusing the stuff out of it, but I knew it would get used a lot and since it says it weighs only a couple ounces I knew it wouldn’t be heavy duty. Again though, I was pleasantly surprised when I held it. It’s definitely lightweight, and I think it’s made from some sort of plastic foam board. I can bend it and twist it a bit, but it holds up just fine. It does have a bit of a flex to it, and if I were to hold it from one end while it was fully extended I’m sure it would bow a little… but since I’d never measure a fish like that that's not really much of a concern, but figured I’d point it out anyhow.So it’s easy to read and I feel it’s pretty well made, but then there was my last big concern…. is it actually accurate? Let me tell ya, if you do a lot of fishing you probably know there are a lot of junk fishing rulers out there. I’ve seen some that were off by more than an inch, but I hadn’t heard anything about this one so all I could do is hope for the best. When it came in the mail one of the first things I did was put it up against a measuring tape, and this sucker is spot on. I was so impressed, I even took some pictures.Oh and one more bit I’d like to add. While I hardly go out on my boat anymore, I still wanted to test if the ruler really did float on water. I usually pier fish so if it fell from my usual spot it's pretty much gone haha, so instead I just tossed it in my pool. Sure enough, it stayed right on the surface. I could even bring it to the bottom and it would float right back up. All in all I give this thing a huge thumbs up, it’s probably the best all-in-one fishing ruler I’ve come across.
