Q: On 2/02/17, cisco announce 5506 might fail due to clock signal component in unit if (vid) lower than v04. can you please do "show inv" & verify (vid)?

This is a tough one for the seller, I wouldn't think that they would continue to sell a broken product.The one I got like a year ago:Name: "Chassis", DESCR: "ASA 5506-X with FirePOWER services, 8GE, AC, DES"PID: ASA5506 , VID: V01 , SN: JMX1943Z0BHAnything after JMX2050 are not affected.

Q: What is the difference between this model (cisco asa 5506-x) and asa5506-sec-bun-k9

The asa5506-sec-bun-k9 comes with a license that enables the unit for greater throughput. It's called the "Security Plus License". Q: How do we register with Cisco to obtain upgrade codes?

You have to purchase a contract from Cisco or a third-party reseller. Cost estimated at $120 per year for 8x5 coverage which includes hardware. I am unaware of a software upgrade contract.

Q: How many AnyConnect for Mobile licenses do the firewall come with?

The last answer is partially correct: indeed all ASA firewall appliances include 2 AnyConnect licenses. However, these are NOT the same as AnyConnect Secure Mobility licenses. Those are sold separately. For example, the Android AnyConnect client can be freely downloaded from the PlayStore, but when trying to connect to the ASA host, the connection will fail with a 'No license' error.
