If you dig around in the dirt with your hands, whether gardening or repairing broken sprinkler heads, this is a wonderful tool. Gives you the full dexterity of using all your fingers, you don't have to fumble with a mini-spade/trowel (if the ground isn't too hard), and it washes up pretty easily. I've worn through the fingers of countless gloves in the course of replacing broken sprinkler heads, planting shrubs, etc., by using my fingers to do the work of a trowel. Sometimes you just need to get your fingers in there, especially if you're trying to feel your way around roots to find the tubing going to your broken sprinkler head.What made this purchase even better was that it was in the Amazon warehouse section at a huge discount. Having used the gloves a few times now, they're worth paying Amazon's normal price, if for no other reason than all the broken fingernails it will save me.

It does do what is advertised, which put the the claws between your fingers and the earth. However, the claws are at the very tips of the fingers (not much of the finger fits into them), so keeping them from flexing backwards as you claw takes a lot of effort and is very uncomfortable. It's not as bad in very sandy soil, but it doesn't help to dig through harder soil where I was hoping it would improve on just a gloved hand. I'm a man with normal, but not huge hands - I'm not sure if they're better suited for a different hand size or finger thickness. I haven't used them since the first week.

I bought these for my mom after seeing them on an ad. She loves to garden and I thought what the hell... this is something different. I'm not sure about their durability but she's looking forward to testing them out :) She's used them once and said they're pretty neat. Only concern is I ordered the extra small based on comments about the one size fits all... and even the extra small is a little big on my mom!

This is Why only two stars ... I don’t understand why they’re prejudiced to the right hand? I am ambidextrous and would like to see them claws on both hands !!! Downgraded to one star because the elastic is giving out they don’t even last as long as the regular pair of gardening gloves

I used my new claw gardening gloves yesterday to help me plant a garden below my mailbox. I really like them - made things easy and fun. Good purchase.

Wish the packaging was better instead of just being thrown into a box with no indication of what its purpose is. I bought this as a white elephant gift. Loses most the fun and anonymity when you have to explain the gift.

I thought these would be great for digging in my pots but once you get to planting, you need to change them out with regular gloves.

These do not fit well and are difficult to keep on while pulling weeds. The plastic “claws” are cheaply made.
