How many cards are in this ?

There are 128 cards in the set, each one is 63x89mm (a tiny bit wider than some "Standard Size" cards).https://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/164572/item/3128163#item3128163They fit nicely in the FFG Standard Sleeves, but it might cost you as much as the set itself to buy 3 packs of FFG sleeves online!

My box came with three manuals/guides. 1 two player guide and 2 times multiplayer guides. This seems like a mistake, which guides should I have?

What age is this for. Searched for 3-4 year olds but is it an older person game?

Definitely for older children/people... it's a strategic card game based around balancing short term moves and long term development. Players need to be able to read English, some basic addition/subtraction maths skills, logic/reasoning and dash of deviousness. Most 3-4 year olds will just have the latter ;)
