Excellent, intelligent, an easy extremely helpful read
The combination of practical examples and theory goes a long way when put down in a common sense, easy read format. Anyone interested in building a better relationship with a horse should read this, and then gift it to others to help them do the same. A great book.

Thoughtful and easy to read
This is an excellent in-depth explanation of the principles behind Schiller's horse training methods. No gimmicks, no coercion, no stress. This gives you a critical understanding how a horse's mind and emotions (and physical body) work. I found the book through his YouTube videos and highly recommend it. This isn't a superficial book. It's clearly written and well laid out. You won't find a quick "do this" solution to training issues but you will find a way to think through what is underlying the difficulties. This means recognizing your own problems first and then not forcing your horse to do something he isn't prepared to do YET.

Best book!!!
This book is amazing!!! Wether horse training, dog training or for life in general this book is absolutely incredible! It is geared towards horse training but it is Much more than a simple “how to” manual for horse training. If I could only keep 1 book of my hundred books, this would be The One! Hands down!Warwick breaks things down into easy to digest laymans terms. He does Not waist the readers time with frills and thrills. It is straight to the point with well explained examples. This is the first book in 10+ years that I have physically read cover to cover and then started over to read again.I absolutely cannot recommend this book enough! You will not be disappointed with the purchase of this book by Warwick Schiller.

Good book. Worth the read.
I've been following Warwick Shiller on YouTube for some time now. His approach to horse training is extremely horse friendly. He works with the horse to solve problems and teach things, rather than using any kind of force. His methods are often backed by hard science. He frequently quotes other people, trainers and other experts. There is no ego between the lines. This book details his methods very eloquently. For those that know Mark Rashid, he and Warwick are two peas in the same pod. Their methods are somewhat different but their approach and philosophies are the same. I highly recommend you buy and read this book. You will refer back to often.

Great Book
Really enjoyed reading this. Warwick sets out the principles that he uses for helping horses through training with really clear examples of where a problem may be with a horse and how going back to the basic fundamental things like, if your horse doesn't stand well for mounting, how does he stand for grooming or saddling? Are there places where your horse doesn't like to be brushed that you've ignored? Does the animal share signs of stomping feet or swishing tail, etc.. Letting the horse know you see their subtle issues and starting over in those areas help the most in getting right with your horse. Letting the animal know they've been seen, heard, felt and gotten helps immensely in making the relationship with your horses better. I am not in the same place as Warwick, but I have made changes to how I interact with my horses and I am finding how much more simple things can be. My biggest issue is keeping emotion out of the equation. Being able to stay at a constant zero is super tough for me. But when I can keep my emotions in check. My horse and I have a better time together. I recommend the book, but also listen to Warwick's podcast they are really informative and help on the journey to better horsemanship.
