Another great refurb from TekRefurbs
This is the second refurbished PC I bought from TekRefurbs via Amazon. The first one I bought was five years ago and ran flawlessly until I simply decided to upgrade. If you know your way around a PC even a little, buying a refurb is a good way to save some money. This one was delivered on time and very securely packaged. I had everything up and running very quickly and it's been running smoothly for about a week now with no issues.I had one question and contacted TekRefurbs via their customer support and got my answer very quickly.Great machine, great price and great vendor!

Was dead out of the box... but...
The unit would not boot out of the box. I got the Dell logo, and that was all. I decided to play a bit... I was planning to install an M.2 drive anyways, so I did, and I disconnected the SSD drive that came with the unit. The unit then booted and installed Win 11 no problem at all. When I plugged the SSD back in, the unit would not boot. After some troubleshooting, it appears that the SATA cable to the SSD was bad. Additionally, the unit did come with a DVD drive installed, which did not have a SATA cable attached! Fortunately I had a good supply of SATA cables. All drives are connected now, and all is working well. All this is why I gave a 4 start rating instead of 5 star. Oh... I had to go to the Dell support site to get the latest BIOS for the machine as well. On the plus side... very fast machine! AND... according to the Dell website, the unit is still under a Premium support contract until Oct 2024!

Would recommend
Bought this refurbished PC about a month ago and it's working great. My old PC (12 years old) would freeze up and just shut down! Hopefully I won't have any problems with this unit before the 3 month warranty is up! Only problem was the monitor connections. My old monitors did not have usb connectors, only hdmi. Had to buy adapter for one and decided to buy another monitor to replace the oldest one. So far so good!

Mostly great deals until it not. Window crashed with update, trashed computer.
I bought a Dell 7090 64 gig 1 TB drive from amazon renewed store computer.I did not do the setup until 40 days later. the computer I received did not have the latest bios installed and after another month it windows installed 24H2. Without the bios update it failed to install and completely trashed the os. ( know issue with Dell computers and renew staff should have done this prior to selling these computers.) After many hours of trying to recover decided to do fresh install.I then discovered that it has asurion computer trace activated in bios. So it requires an account with the previous owners company to access the computer. now no access without an asurion account which I do not have.I have bought 6 of these dell referbs and one also failed without bios update and is trashed.Let’s see if tek refurbs will admit to the failure to setup the computers correctly with new bios update installed and asurion either disabled or removed from it.if not i would not buy and more dell refurbs, this is a Dell issue. I am not aware of the issue with other brands.if you have bought one of these do bios updates and go into bios and disable asurion.
