This product is as good as any other like it. Sturdy keeps the rain, bugs, birds, out. Not sure about the squirrels yet.1. The Velcro tape does not stick to the wooden window frame as well as some others we have had. (The reason we didn't reuse them is they smelled moldy)2 There is a lot of excess so it does not fit tight.To fit these right you need to have you end of your hose between the window frame and the window. We have roll out casement windows. So you hold the exhaust tube in place til the window has been made tight to hold the hose in place securely.

We just received this product a couple of days ago and installed. It definitely takes a step ladder and two people but otherwise it is not hard to install. As for durability - We can get some strong winds so this will need to wait for a rating.

I’m so happy I found this seal, I have tried a few others but none of them seemed to completely seal around the hose. After using this one for a little while I can confirm it perfectly seals around the air hose and we are no longer getting and hot air or bugs back into the house. I’ve also found due to how efficient it is we are having to cool the house for less time which is saving us so much energy! Considering the alternatives are more pricey and harder to install this one is definitely a steal.

I have been looking for a portable AC seal for my skylight window for quite some time.This new product comes with a draw string opening for the exhaust hose, which is much better than the old one with a zipper.It also fits many types of windows and not only a skylight window.Make sure to read the instructions to see if this product is the correct one for your window and order the right size.

I ordered this for one unit, but it stopped working before this arrived and we had to get a larger unit to replace it. The new unit has a bigger vent hose which we didn't know until it was already being unpackaged on a sweltering day.Putting this into the window frame was easy but make sure you measure before purchasing.I ended up repurposing this to another room for our portable clothes dryer and it hooked up easily, but the window was not the same size. It was a bit smaller than the original window and so there was a bit of excess area on the two ends. This made it easy for bugs to sneak through.So, make sure to measure the three sides of the window this is for before ordering because if it does not fit perfectly there will be gaps for bugs.

I have been running a portable air conditioner in my loft for a couple of seasons. But I had been putting together a makeshift seal on the window, and it was never great. I decided to try this seal from HOOMEE. It's a big improvement!The seal is made of sturdy material, and feels like it will last. Installing it took me about 20 minutes, as it was a little tricky unfolding the material and wrangling it onto the window properly. But once it was installed, it has held on through daily use.If you are trying to get a proper seal on a window with a portable air conditioner, I recommend this item.

Wanted to use this for our small awning window with a hand-crank handle. But this a/c window seal is too long for it. This window seal has a 118 inch perimeter and is too long & too wide for my 31in. x 17in. window. There'd be too much extra unused fabric of its long diamond-like shape to bunch up. Also, this window seal comes with 2 hose holes so that's 1 more extra unused fabric to manage since my portable a/c is single-hosed. Installing it seems complicated per the instructions. I watched an installation video of another brand with a similar window seal. You have to frame the window opening with the tape and the non-opening part with the other tape. The problem is that my awning window has an upward and outward opening and it's hold bar is broken. So, I need someone prop the window up & out in order for me to install the tape on that frame. Also, the non-opening part has a hand crank that's in the way of a complete seal. This window seal is basically just a thin fabric and wouldn't provide enough insulation from all the heat that my a/c hose emits as well the actual summer heat from outside.Limitedly recommended.

This is better than cardboard but have duck tape on hand. This is made for a door or window that opens like a door. Mine was big enough for the door. I put mine into a sliding window so I cut the ends off and used white duck tape. There might be ones made for sliding windows but this is what I got for reviewing. It doesn't come with tubing/hose the tube they refer to in the ad is a sleeve that the tubing is secured in.It is duck tape not duct tape. It has to do with a waterproof tape the military used many years ago. The tape was never intended for ductwork In fact if you use it professionally for ductwork the inspectors will make you remove it because its a fire hazard. Even though some marketers ignorantly list as Duct tape (fire hazard). I thought this was interesting when I heard about it.eI hope that my review is helpful
