takes a little tweaking
I really like this product, but it took a little tweaking. The first time I did it it just clumped together in a solid mass down at the bottom of my beaker, I threw it out. The second time I did it, I started about every 15 minutes and once I noticed it started getting a little , then I used an immersion blender and blended it. And then once it was fully set, I was able to add a little bit of oil, a little bit of fragrance and blended it again and it did great. The third time I did it, I used aloe vera juice in place of water. This one took longer to come to gel , as a matter of fact, it would not come to the gel phase until I heated it up. I had to heat it to about roughly 100° had to do that twice for it to get thick. but once it did and I use the immersion blender, this one was actually my favorite one as a finished product.

High Quality, Works amazing for Giant Bubbles
I purchased this polymer for giant bubble making and was not disappointed! For the price, it comes with so much polymer, and it's in a very high quality container and I love the ingredient itself, it works and acts just like HEC and is nice and high quality. It has helped me make some of my biggest bubbles! I am so glad I bought this!

It’s perfect!
It’s exactly as described! Very easy to open and scoop exact amounts. In our formulations it works great! Dissolves readily in hot or cold water and thickens up very quickly!

It works!
Having never used this before, let me tell you, it took a second to get a handle on how much I needed for the volume I needed it in. I definitely had a batch that was supposed to be like a jelly of paste consistency and it became just a solid mass. I like it though and it has been useful for a number of things.

Makes BIG bubbles!
I have been making big bubbles for more than 30 years. And I am constantly looking for the right blend of polymers to combine with dish detergent and water to produce monster bubbles, ten feet in diameter. Hydroxyethyl cellulose (or HEC as we call it) is one of those polymers that experienced bubbleologists rely on as their primary or secondary polymer. It doesn’t take much, maybe a couple grams per gallon of water, and 6-8 ounces of a good detergent (Dawn Ultra works well). I use a magnetic mixer to hydrate the HEC in a liter of water to avoid clumping. Then refrigerate it to use in your final mix. Lots of great recipes and info at SoapBubble Wiki on Facebook.
