Easy to set up RE815XE
I had read some reviews about the RE815XE and was a bit apprehensive given the price, but I kept an eye out for it to come on sale and bought it.The TP-Link AXE5400 router is great and was suited to my needs. Large old house, a lot of brick or stone walls internally. However having my home internet upgraded from 30MB to 500MB due to a new fiber link (I had the option of up to a 1.6GB/s fiber link, this seemed overkill for me so I opted for the 500MB/s).Due to the internet upgrade I was going to need something more than a strong 2.5ghz signal given the increase in bandwidth. The RE815XE has brought a strong 5.2ghz band across the whole house - partlly because its a really good piece of kit and partly because I was fortunate to be able to position it really well.Highest speed I can get in my office with fiber is 80MB without the RE815XE, with it installed I have not yet found a capacity limit for a 500MB fiber connection. Latency has not been an issue either as I usually play 40K DarkTide and other FPS online games and have not had an issue with latency. For some reason I have never detected a WiFi 6 connection despite my PC and mobile phone being capable of using it, on either the AXE5400 or the RE815XE. I have read elsewhere that in the UK the WiFi 6E on this model is used as a backhaul in order to increase bandwidth capacity. I am unsure how accurate this is, I just know that the RE815XE has allowed me to make the most out of my new fiber connection and I have no issues in recommending it.Just wait for it to come on sale as it is a good, though pricey bit of kit.

Reliable and Easy to Set Up – Great Boost for Home WiFi
The TP-Link RE315 WiFi extender has been a great addition to my home network. Setup was really straightforward, thanks to the EasyMesh technology and clear instructions. It works seamlessly with my existing router, extending the WiFi signal to parts of the house that previously had weak or no coverage. The dual-band AC1200 speeds are solid for streaming, video calls, and general browsing, with very little drop-off from my main router’s connection. The two external antennas definitely help with range and signal stability.I’ve also used it as an access point wired via Ethernet, which is handy for connecting devices that don’t have strong WiFi. The compact design and UK plug make it unobtrusive and easy to position. One thing to watch out for: if your wall socket is quite low or crowded, the size of the extender might block neighbouring sockets or cause clearance issues.Overall, a dependable and affordable way to improve WiFi coverage without the need for a full mesh system. Highly recommended if you’re struggling with dead zones or spotty wireless at home.

It works very well
The product arrived in 2 days, and the packaging was very well done, and there were no problems. Installation was also very easy; I finished it in 10 minutes. I bought it because I had no internet reception in the back rooms, and now it has great reception.

Very easy set up and go
Read the reviews and was abit hesitant but as some people had said it was really easy went ahead and purchased .I live in a L shaped old thick bricked wall cottage and this has limited my Wi-Fi around the property and non existent in garden . I had two tiny Netgear extenders which are great in the house but didn’t reach far enough in the garden .The Tp-link AX1500 has solved that . Out the box and set up in less than 10 minutes ( I used the WPS connection method) and this was so quick .I have placed the extender on the landing facing garden . I now get full house and garden cover.I am very happy with the results and would recommend this product .

Product failed during warranty period
I bought two of these extenders and installed them in different parts of the house. The installation process was straightforward and there was a big improvement in WiFi coverage throughout the property. However, after 8 months the first unit started intermittently disconnecting from the router and after 14 months the second unit also failed in this manner. I spent a lot of time and effort via TP-Link technical support trying to resolve the problem, but with no success. Eventually I decided to return both units, but was initially met with some resistance from both Amazon and the manufacturer. However, I persevered and obtained a full refund. I replaced the extenders with different models from the TP-Link range and so far, have had no further problems.
