This was a replacement of the fob for my Chevy Colorado that got smashed. I took the circuit board and battery out of the broken fob and they fit perfectly in this replacement. Looks brand new again! 10\10!

There was no way that battery from original was going to fit. I took my dremel and shaved off 1/32 of an inch of battery holder. This allowed me to place battery in snugly and fits well. The stock GM key fob has a silicone gasket and seems to be somewhat waterproof. The aftermarket fob has no gasket and would not be waterproof.Pro: It is much easier to open up the key fob than the GM originalCon: In my case I had to shave down battery holder to load battery. No silicone seal for waterproofing. No bow tie emblem on back of fob.With that being said looks great and works. It most likely will retain its good looks because it is hard plastic where as the GM fob has a soft exterior that deteriorates quickly and looks terrible.
