Top Notch Customer Service
Huge thumbs up on customer service and standing behind their product. The set of 8 jars we ordered separately came with lids that shrunk after a single top-rack dishwasher run. Wouldn't fit any longer and split along the edge; some won't even stay on. Gian with Ultimate was very courteous and apologetic; sending replacements as soon as I completed a very brief service form. They do recommend handwashing but the lids that were on the jars with the yogurt maker don't split or shrink after repeated top-rack washings; they're marked inside, "LDPE" (Low Density PolyEthylene). Those that split are marked PE (PolyEthylene).Again, LOVE the yogurt maker; easy to use and reliable. Customer service is fantastic!

The lids don't stay on securely while making yogurt / Outstanding customer service
The lids just popped off when I was making yogurt in the slow cooker. A whole batch was wasted.Update on my review: I was contacted by the seller of this item after my review. The company apologized for the bad experience with this product and offered a full refund or replacement. I really appreciated this gesture since I had missed the return window and they were in no way obligated to do anything. They definitely stepped up and made my day with their outstanding customer service. Thank you!

It just plain works! Highly recommended.
I love a product that is simple to use and works flawlessly. Well this is just that. It is like the Apple (sorry Android folks) of yogur makers. simple design, easy to use and it works beautifully (36 hours @ 99F). If you use the right ingredients and follow the directions you will get perfect yogurt. The problem is the yogurt is so good I eat to much of it, so I have dialed back. personally I use organic half and half, inulin and three types of probiotics (choose which probiotics you wish for whatever good bacteria you are trying to introduce to your biome) and I never had a bad batch. Even threw in some beed protein isolate in one batch (it stayed at the bottom). I did the calculation on cost and it is actually a bit cheaper to make your own versus the commerical stuff plus has maximal (numbers wise) probiotics.

There are two types of jars! Take note.
Be careful before you sterilize your lids & jars. Overall the actual jars are decent, but take care to see which batch you have. Included pictures for reference. The older ones shipped with cardboard dividers are fine, but the ones with styrofoam insert seem to be made of something different. It’s common for people to sterilize their jars with steam or using baby bottle sterilizers, and we had no trouble sterilizing the jars the came with the machine and the first set of jars we bought from amazon. The next set of jars came packed differently with styrofoam inserts, and when sterilized the lids all warped and shrunk. The new lids actually fit into the old lids, that’s how much they shrunk. Hopefully this makes you aware of it before you attempt this on your lids. Plastic isn’t highly heat tolerant anyways, so we’ll probably buy silicone replacements for them.As for the jars, they are fine. We’ve only seen one get a hairline crack after usage, though no one knows when it happened.

Great yogurt jars
I had to buy more 6 oz jars so I never run out. Jars are perfect size and made of very good quality.
