Works for PFAS
Great cartridge, test results shoed PFAS before and none after. Would recommend for minor PFAS mitigation

Dependable, Quality Whole-House Filters
I have a whole-house system with (3) 4.5x20 cartridges and (1) 4.5x10 pre-filter installed for 3-years. I have tried a few brands but have settled on these Express Water filters for their consistency, good life and dependable fit. I will continue to purchase.

Removed some smells from my city water.
I added this in front of a new water softener I installed to make my nasty city water useful. My water would occasionally smell like sulfur and tasted awful. Between this filter and the softener the water is now excellent. No smells or hardness to deal with anymore.

Express Water filters work well for me
The 20 inch canisters full of water get heavy and are easily to spill when changing filters. A lower drain such as a petcock would be helpful in draining the canisters before changing.

What happened to my GAC filters when shipped???
This is a first for me. I purchased a "Whole House" three filter unit about two years ago. I am satisfied with the sediment removal and the fresh taste the standard set delivers with our well water. In ordering a second round of replacement 20" filter cartridges through Amazon, I ordered four of each the Activated Carbon Block (ACB) filters and the Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filters. It appears these are shipped directly from Express Water in North Hollywood California. The filters have some weight to them, so for shipping purposes they used two separate outer shipping boxes and placed four units of the ACB in one, and four of the GAC in the other. So here is the issue. The ACB's are available to purchase in two packs which is what I did. The factory packing consists of a filter which is sealed inside a lightweight plastic cover, then placed inside a plain cardboard box, also placed inside a snuggly fitting second outer cardboard box with displays the product ID. The individually packed and labeled ACB's are then placed into a third "twin" cardboard box which exactly holds two ACB's packages. This twin pack box again carried the ACB product label. Two of these twin packs then went into a fourth cardboard box that was about 50% too big...so they were loose inside, no extra fill material. The outer box arrived looking rough but contents, having the three additional layers of carboard, were still decent looking so no customer issue here. The four GAC filter shipment was a different story. The same oversized outer box was used for the GAC filters. These filters are only offered as single packs. Packaging should have been the same as described above...the filter, wrapped in plastic, inside an inner cardboard box, inside an outer cardboard box with a product label of GAC. Four of these multi-layer protective packages should have been placed inside the big box. The big shipping box, like the first, had no additional fill/padding.My problem was the four loose GAC filters did not travel as well from CA to the East Coast. In fact, the bottom of the large overpack box was half open and the box arrived more crushed than the first box. It appeared FEDEX may have needed to add additional tape on this package when I compared the two large boxes.Opening the second large box, two of the four individual filters had the normal multi-layer packaging. The other two had only "most" of the plain inner box. The fold over flaps for the ends were torn off...not to be found inside the large package. The filters were partway out of these inner cardboard sleeves. Fortunately, the plastic film wrap around both these filter cartridges appeared intact. Missing were the normal outer packaging boxes displaying the product labeling. It is hard to believe that during transit two of these product boxes got removed. My conclusion is Express Water sent this out like I received it. Two filters with full protective packaging and two without. That is a poor reflection on them and the quality of fulfilling their Amazon customer orders. Amazingly, the plastic wrap on both was still on. Because of the plastic wrap being intact, and I did not identify any other damage, I will keep all four GAC filters for future use.If anyone else experiences this type of a packaging problem with Express Water filters please voice it back. We buy these filters to improve the quality of our fresh water and for the price we pay, we should have confidence we will be receiving the filters in a clean sanitary state.Respectfully submitted, MEA

Great filter!
I moved into a new house earlier this year that has well water and had no filters when I moved in. The water had high ppm when it was tested and a lot of sediment. After putting up this filter along with 3 prefilters, 3 other different filters and a UV light, my water is clear, low ppm and tastes great. I have had this filter on for about 6 months now and have not needed to change it yet. Will continue to buy this product.
