Stainless Steel Masala Dabba – 8x8 inch Indian Spice Box with 7 Compartments for Kitchen Storage

Looks and feels great in the kitchen. Low profile to keep in a side that comes with double lid but awkwardly difficult to close and open the lid if kept as it comes. There was a way to resolve this otherwise I would have given it 3 stars just for it being too tight and not easy to open once the lid is set.So what I did to make it the best usable is by removing the lid support knob and setting it up to the opposite side of the lid. As a result the lid goes inside the main compartment and comes easily out. I put the main top cover on the bottom where the main base sits on. When I'm out for a vacation or something, I put the main lid on top or just leave it the way it is on the bottom. I still don't understand why they shipped with double lids. May be they wanted to keep it as safe as possible.The steal finish is shiny and smooth. The knob is solid and attractive just a fitting one in the lid with a pleasurable aesthetic. Nothing to complain about the little cups which are well made and match the same gloss and finish. This is a well thought out Masala Dabba as a whole and quite close to the perfection. It will go a long way. I'm only worried if it gets rusted since one of the cups I used to store salt and actively use with wet hand. I try to wipe clean in the end of the day, but hopefully not catch up with the rust soon. I will surely update if it did so will be my updated readings overtime. For now, there's no other product of this match for sure, at least here at Amazon.

This is Really. Really, nice, infact I grabbed another one for my neighbor. I do understand the complaints of the first flat lid that's on the inside does not fit very snug on top, however if you are cooking and using it the same time and doing live videos it's perfect you don't have to tussle with it, it's very cute, now if you are savvy life myself I had my husband use a tine drill bit and put a hole on in the top lid, got a cute knob from hobby lobby and it's great so I can store my seasonings as well and it's sealed really well on the second lid. That's if you want a know on the second lid, but other than that it's a great item. Love it!

Exactly as the good quality masaladaans one may be accustomed to using in India.The outer lid fits snugly, keeping moisture out and spices fresh. However, the inner lid has gap at the edges, which means you can't leave this with only the inner lid in place. Wish that would be a snug fit too

This is all you need-makes Indian cooking so much easier in that your standard 7 spices are at the ready. No fumbling in the spice cabinet and trying to get your measuring spoon into a small spice jar from the store, or from a messy bag from the spice shop. Everyone cooking Indian needs one if not more of these.Now about the product, it's solid and well-made esp. for the price. A few hints: throw away the 2 spoons it comes with - you need to use measuring spoons anyway. I made my own labels and cut out tin pie plates to create a sort of "half cover" which allows me to level off the measurement when scooping. See photo attached.Washes with soap & water. Gets nice and shiny. Made in India - do it!!!

One of the bowls is taller than the others so the lid won't close. This seems to be a common problem and the seller reportedly fixes it (based on other reviews) but there is now no way to contact the seller. I would rather just get a bowl that is the correct size, like others did, than have to return it outright. I am happy with the product otherwise.

The product is made of quality steel .very sturdy and works great for daily use.

Easy to open the lid, the plate in the middle is used for bay leaves etc. Cup size is perfect for the volume i use in a month. Overall, it is a good purchase.
