I bought this Extra Wide Spatula for $17 on Amazon specifically for smash burgers, but now it’s earned a permanent spot as my go-to kitchen tool. I love this thing, it is nice and wide making it user friendly on a large griddle. The Spatula is well build and very sturdy. Not only is it good for flipping/turning food it works great in helping you to clean/scrape the griddle after you cook and as I so often do burn food leaving residue behind. The product is well built and can handle firm use with no give which makes you comfortable when bearing down on the griddle to clean it. My wife also likes if for cooking pancakes because you can flip a large pancake and avoid breakage of the cake when it is partially cooked through making for the ability to make large pancakes with out fear of destroying the cake on the flip.. Good product get yourself one if you have a griddle or want to flip a fish on the BBQ!

If you griddle / hibachi then this is a must. Sturdy and well designed it is an essential tool for all your cooking needs. The edges are rather sharp, good for scraping and quick chopping things like philly meat. I got two but for most jobs one is all you need, but buy two, can't go wrong here.

Out of the box this spatula is ready for grilling action! The restaurant style stainless steel spatula is ideal for making smash burgers. It is a bit larger than I expected. It turns out this is better for smashing burgers to a thin profile for maximum cripiness on the meat. The sharpened edges help scrap the meat off the grill without a problem. I did notice that the handle can get quite hot as it's made of two pieces of wood sandwiched over a metal part, this conducts heat into the handle making it impossible to leave the spatula on the grill for any length of time. The large surface of the spatula allows for whole portion serving without a chance of your burger hanging over the edges. This makes for quick serving and functionality. I am keeping a star because of handle - as long as you don't leave the spatula on the grill while you load up burgers or buns, it should be fine - rivets and metal in handle heat up quickly otherwise. FYI.

Wide and sturdy just what I needed. Strong enough to smash burgers. Wide enough to flip a meatloaf on the smoker.
