Very impressed with these right out of the box! Well made, sturdy, and cute too! Big enough to meet my needs, but small enough to tuck into the coop anywhere. I used a special type of fastener (from a different company) to attach onto the hardware cloth of my coop. Works perfectly! Definitely recommend!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:These calcium and grit feeders are AMAZING! I have 3 coops and have a set in each one of them. They are so convenient, sturdy quality, and great looking. My chickens know they can get what they need from these. They look so good hanging on the wall of the coops and the lids make it easy to refill as needed. I would highly recommend these to anyone that has chickens!

This product is a very good product-well designed, easy to assemble, works excellently to offer the chickens easy access to grit and calcium while making sure that both stay clean. It is also cute-bonus! I highly recommend this as a number one way to give your chickens the grit/calcium they require.

These are cute and will work. They should have been made so that when you screw them to the wall they stand off just a bit. getting them secure makes it hard to take the caps off and on to fill them.

At first I wasn't sure if this was something I "needed" for our hens. After getting it and using it for the last couple months, I am thrilled I got these! Not only are they super cute, but they are VERY durable (our hens like to peck at them) and they hold a decent amount of grit and oyster shells!Highly recommend if you want to take the estheics of your coop up a notch as well as lessen waste! I love that they attach securely to the inside of our walk in coop and the girls can't knock it down!

I was worried about these in my coop because chickens are notorious for getting anything pretty covered in feces, but these are easily sprayed off and the design has not worn off. Chickens love them and the tops are easy to take off and put back on.

Everything arrived exactly as pictured - assembling the base with the main body was easy, and the product feels like sturdy, thick plastic or PVC. It mounted easily to the coop wall - screws were included. My only concern was that some of the grit and oyster shell might leak out the back where it hangs on the screw, but if so it's an insignificant amount. The other thing I would suggest is to add a flat piece on the back of the bottom part of the feeder to sit against the wall and stabilize it from swiveling back and forth on the screw. It doesn't appear to be a big issue, but if you put the screw in too tight into the wall you can't get the cap on and off the top easily for refilling - this means it sits a bit loose and rotates a bit on the screw. It doesn't seem to be a problem - my hens have pecked at it and flicked gravel and oyster shell around with their beaks and it hasn't fallen off the wall or spilled anything. It's just a detail I noticed. Overall I think it's a good design, the graphic on the front with the chicken sitting on the G for Grit and the O for Oyster is super cute. Mine are inside the coop, but the holes in the dish portion the girls eat from is a good idea to drain out any water if they were to be mounted outside where rain or snow might get in.
