Incomplete Genius
Like many great works of modern fiction (such as Joss Whedon's Firefly) Dororo was cancelled far too soon. As such, this omnibus edition leaves the reader feeling a bit cheated by the time they finish reading, which is a huge shame. Dororo is a fantastic manga. It deals with some very mature and deep themes (such as identity, gender roles and the search for meaning and happiness in life) and addresses them fully, without preaching to the reader. But, it still manages to keep the same light-hearted and childlike storytelling style that readers of Tezuka know and love. It combines humour and tragedy in a way that a lot of modern works of fiction could really learn from. It is a worth addition to any bookshelf, regardless of whether the reader is a fan of manga or not.

Great story however book was received damaged (read edit below)
Amazing narrative by the one and only Osamu Tezuka, a classic and genius mangaka. It was a shame however, as I received the book dented and damaged with part of the spine ripped.edit: I had this order replaced and second time round, the condition was a lot better so I have changed the rating from 3 to now 4 stars :D
