GR8FLEX Squat Stand - Extra Large and Extended Long Design for Total Trainer and Other Inclined Fitness Equipments

I have the Total Gym FIt model with the oval squat stand. I injured one knee many years ago and I needed to raise my feet higher than the Total Gym allowed, so I searched for a larger stand. This stand claimed to fit my Total Gym even though it's made by a different company. Actually, it will fit all models of Total Gym since they all have the same post dimensions. At the current price of 59 and free shipping, it was worth a shot. This squat stand turned out to be everything I needed and I'm impressed with the quality.This squat stand is 11 inches taller than the OEM stand that came with the FIT model. The construction seems to be equal to the Total Gym in every way except one. The bottoms of the posts are a half inch shorter than the Total Gym model. This doesn't seem to affect usage, as both have a little bit of wiggle, but it's still worth noting.The picture on Amazon shows a champagne gold color in one photo, but the one I received is silver like the other photos. The metal appears to be the same thickness and feels just as strong. The screws are tight. The stand is blow-molded plastic, just like the Total Gym, but it has a couple of places screwed for extra security, unlike the original. The ridges and grooves are comparable in size. The texture is the same. It feels just as durable.Using this squat stand helps me because I can adjust the angle of my knees to reduce the stress and I don't get sharp pains like I did with the original stand. It also relieves pressure on my lower back when I can raise my feet higher.I haven't had this stand long and had not planned to review it for a few more weeks so I could report on durability. However, I know that a lot of Total Gym users, especially in our Total Gym Addicts FB group, are interested in this stand and are ordering, so I didn't want to wait to share my initial impressions. Also, I know of two other Total Gym users who have had this stand for a long time and love it. Both are tall men and seem to have put it to good use.I will follow up on this review if I experience any problems with the squat stand. It truly feels just as durable as the original stand that came with my Total Gym, so I don't expect any issues.

This thing is even bigger than I expected, which is great. Awesome replacement for the useless squat stand that comes with the total gym. It seems extremely well made and definitely worth the money. It's a tiny bit looser than the OEM squat stand, but it's still a pretty snug fit.

Overall, I like the XL squat stand, as it allows me to keep my knees at a 90 degree angle while doing squats.However, I do not feel it should be used for jumping exercises due to its loose fit and potential for damaging the welds on my Total Gym.The XL squat stand fits my Supra Pro Total Gym, with the following comments.1. The XL squat stand is easily inserted into the Total Gym.2. The tube inserts are a tiny bit smaller diameter and about 1" shorter than those on the standard Total Gym rectangular squat stand. The fit is consequently a tiny bit loose.3. The tubes on the XL squat stand are not quite as stiff as those on the original squat stand.4. The looser fit, shorter tube inserts, and less stiff tubing allows the XL squat stand to rock back and forth a little. It feels like the XL squat stand also flexes more than the short squat stand during use.5. The hard black plastic platform on the XL squat stand is not as stiff or robust as the original squat stand. It flexes in and out a little, depending on where you place your foot. I can feel this flexing even when wearing shoes.

Works Great for my TotalGym Fit. So much better than the included Small foot stand. May be a little lighter than the original TG stand. But for the price it works great for me.

This squat stand is a lot bigger than the one that came with our Toral Gym Force and much less expensive than the large stand sold by Toral Gym. Itfits perfectly and is very solid. It makes doung squats on the Total Gym much more comfortable and allows one to change angles and foot positions.

I bought this for my total gym XL which is very old. The stand works perfect and really helps my knees not to over bend when doing quats with the large stand. I recommend this very much.
