These work pretty well. I did it by myself and it kept going in slightly to one side as I hammered. Tried it 3 times, I think it may have been hitting concrete so it's a little crooked (I had no help to guide it) , but doesn't matter because the fence is upright and the post is as sturdy as any. Didn't take 15 minutes, pretty easy. There are some cheaper ones around though.

Very sturdy and well thought out product. First time I have used something like this. I definitely would buy again...particularly over two piece design or ones with thinner metal. Nice touch to include the plywood hammering plate. I did replace the screws with heavier duty ones out of caution. The plywood will last long enough for both stakes to be hammered into hard ground. Make your life easier; water the ground first.

I used this kit to reinforce a fence post that had broken below ground during high winds years ago. It felt very solid after installing, so I had high hopes. We had some extreme winds again yesterday, and that broken post was indeed absolutely solid. If you don't want to go to the work of digging up and replacing a broken post, this repair kit will do the job and save your fence.Installation was straightforward. Be sure to have a good hand-held sledgehammer, and wear ear protection (it rings loud with each hit). The plank of wood provided for impact transfer wasn't quite adequate, so have a small 2x4 or other wood plank ready.I can't speak to long tern durability, but it's solid after a month, and I have no concerns.

I read other reviews that expressed some unhappiness with the product. I used it for a bird house that had dry rot around the base. Instead of unmounting the birdhouse, mounting it on a new post and digging a new hole, I purchased this instead. I used a medium sledge to drive the post and the metal didn't deform. The product comes with a drill bit to pre-drill the holes and screws for securing the post. While it worked great for me, you may have issues with larger posts, really hard or really soft soil.

High quality sturdy, excellent thick black paint, one piece design makes it a more strong structure. Even provided drill bill and epoxy coated screws, was able several fence cedar 5x6 fence post that were leading badly. Recommend highly.

I installed the AKINGKONG Thicker Fence Post Repair Kit on a fence post that had rotted at the base. The fence was still attached to the other posts so it was just this one post that needed fixing. Unfortunately this repair kit didn't work as it was pulled out of the ground just by the tilt of the fence. It's beefy and well made but it simply didn't work for my repair.
