I've bought so many mascaras over the years - both 'drug store' and designer brands - but this mascara is honestly the best I've ever tried. I cannot believe how inexpensive it is for the quality! Although the design of the packaging/the container is fairly cheap looking and mediocre, the design of the brush and the actual mascara is first-rate. The brush is long and thin. Every single lash is separated and coated, allowing both (extreme) lengthening and gentle curling. It doesn't clump and it looks very natural. Then there is the fact it's a tubing mascara, so it doesn't run or smudge - I'm not sure why, but the moment I turned 40 my mascara started to run and smudge, but this stays put and is easy to remove with a cleansing cloth and water. Finally, and most importantly to me, elf products are all vegan - so completely cruelty-free (and that includes not using ingredients from, or trading with, countries that mandate animal testing). Many beauty brands may be cruelty-free in your own country, but engage in cruel animal testing practices in other countries (such as China), so going for a product labelled as 'vegan' is the only way to be sure. You can rest easy with elf products that you will not be funding animal cruelty. This is the holy grail of mascaras - buy it, you won't regret it.

This is an excellent mascara, volumises and lengthens the lashes and does not rub off or flake. It’s great, especially for the price. I repurchase this regularly.

Purchased as a mascara, its very natural, doesn't give me the length or any volume as hoped, but it is easy to remove and no smudging, I tried it on my eyebrows and it beats any other gel brow product, so will continue to use it on my brows than lashes.

My favourite mascara now, will not buy another. Told all my girlfriends. Super easy no use, one coat, no mess, lasts all day. Buildable whilst wet. Annoyingly can't find the photo. My lashes look stunning with this. Great balance between length and volume. Tubing which is great and easy to remove. 👌

A good product but only lasted a couple of weeks.Lashes did look separated. Colour was good and no panda eyes.

I have found my mascara at last! I like to wear it but have found I end up with smudges by the end of the day. I've tried loads at different price ranges and always have the same problem. With this one I don't. It's also cheap! It uses lash wrap to stay on so doesn't flake or smudge. Easily removed too. Very happy customer.

This is a tubing mascara. I hadn’t heard of these until I did some internet research. Apparently the mascara wraps itself around the individual lashes and they are usually more expensive than this one (which was recommended by several people).I first tried it over the mascara I was already wearing, just because I wanted to try it when it arrived. This made a difference but I also tried it again the next morning, when applying my makeup from scratch.The wand is narrow which gives you the ability to make fine touches, and to manipulate it without missing the lashes (and getting some of your face!). It applies evenly and there was no clumping. I have been using a well know brand for years now, but had noticed some clumping so wanted to try something else (hence the research).The research also advised I apply mascara in general with a zigzag motion, as the brush goes along the length of the lashes, to increase the effect. I didn’t know this and so have been doing this too.It is a good, deep black colour. The length definitely increases on application. No clumping. I can recommend and imagine this will be my new regular mascara.

After years of using waterproof mascara and removing it with baby oil, this was a nice change. The mascara comes off with warm water as tubing mascara is supposed to and there's no eye irritation. I found that it didn't smudge on to my lid either which is a plus - maybe this was due to the brush but waterproof mascaras have always done this during application (could be my ineptitude of course!!?!). The brush is thin and doesn't overfill with product - the mascara has a nice consistency and goes on easily - the only issue I have with this type of mascara is it doesn't seem to hold the curl quite like waterproof versions (I use an eyelash curler before hand and this is still the case). I have tried the brown version and it's a very nice colour but I always come back to black - both equally good. My eyes tend to water whatever I do but this mascara didn't come off on the tissue. I like Elf cosmetics as they offer good products and have a great app to use - price wise you can't go wrong.
