It's mind blowing to me that we were able to get this amazing bed for such an insane value. There's a reason it has sooo many perfect reviews. This is the cooling version of the even more popular best selling mattress on Amazon. First, Zinus has all the certifications you want to see, that ensure the mattress is safe from harmful materials. Second, it's hard to top the ease of being able to order a really great mattress online, and have it delivered to your door without the need to schedule a delivery appointment through a freight company. Third, Zinus offers an exceptional free return policy with a sleep well guaranty. Fourth, this mattress provides the perfect combination of dense foam and memory foam with a cooling foam layer. I'm 100% convinced this is the best combo for a super cozy mattress that will last for as long as you want to keep it!I bought this mattress to replace a VERY old dense foam mattress that I topped with an egg crate foam plus a memory foam topper, that created a combo that was perfect for me. I wanted to emulate the feeling of my prior mattress and this one had the dense and memory foam layers, all in one, which I hoped would eliminate the need for adding any toppers. Well, we have had the bed for several weeks now, and we love everything about it. We chose the 12 inch version, but that was overkill, and we would have been just as happy with a 10 or even an 8 inch, because the mattress is so well made.Once you open the package, just lay the mattress down and allow it a couple of hours to fully *fluff up*. It will expand to it's full size within just a few hours. It offers the perfect combination of comfort and support. I'm a side sleeper and too much firmness can result in so much pressure that your shoulders, arms and fingers can get tingles or numbness. But, if it's too soft, your back will be very angry with you! That has not been the case with this mattress. You will feel little to no transfer of motion from your husband, wife, partner, or pets that you allow in bed. I have found that I settle in quickly and don't wake up feeling the need to switch positions all night. This is such a great mattress. I’ve had it for about a year now and it’s so comfortable, every time I lay down on it I instantly get sleepy and it keeps me perfectly cool at night when I need it to. If you lay in the same spot over time it will depress a little and be less firm but if you just flip it around or change the side you sleep on it feels just as good as new.

The mattress ended up being about what we had expected. More firm than a traditional spring mattress, but softer than others we have either slept on or tested out in a store. We, like most, were tempted in spending much more money from either a store or a bigger name brand online, but overall are very satisfied with our purchase. We also purchased the normal Zinus frame, which went together easily and has been doing a good job for us so far.Packaging. It was easier than expected and the box wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be. It was easy enough to open, get the mattress out (that was nicely packed) and into our bedroom for opening. At some point during the process, we must have torn a small hole in the plastic bag and we could hear air starting to get in. Thankfully, we were able to get the mattress on the frame and the plastic off before too much expansion happened.Set up/Expansion. We slept on the mattress the first night we set it up after about 6-7 hours of expansion. We felt like it was around 11", so we wanted to try it out. After sleeping on it over this past week, it has grown to 12" all the way around. We slid some cardboard (from the shipping box) under the mattress and on the frame to prevent the foam from leaking through the slots. It's worked great so far!Smell. I hesitate to actually say this, but my wife swore for the first couple of days it smelled like Peanut M&M's. She has a weird sense of smell, but it did have a smell, although not bad or overpowering at all. After a week we don't notice anything at all.Firmness. We decided with this mattress in particular because it was supposed to be softer than others. We're glad we got this one, because it is still more firm than we are used to. After a few adjustments to how we sleep, we both find the bed very comfortable and it is great.Movement/Support. Although we haven't tried the wine glass test shown on older commercials, we have tested seeing if we can tell if the other is getting in or out of bed. For the most part, we can't tell. Like almost all foam mattresses, if you are too close to the sides, you will find there isn't a lot of support. I sleep pretty close to the sides and haven't had any issues.Overall impression. I am VERY satisfied with our purchase. Not only did we save HUNDREDS (if not thousands) of dollars, it was delivered quickly and easily. We haven't had to deal with customer support, but hopefully between Amazon and Zinus we could resolve any issues if they were to come up.

I’ve only had this mattress for a few days so my review could change in a few months. I will come back later with an update. But for now, I will say that it is as advertised. It’s a very comfy mattress, slightly firmer than I like, but I don’t want it to be too soft and sink in. It was easy to take out of the plastic, and it began to inflate the instant it was removed. There was no bad smell at all. It is slightly larger than my queen box platform that went with my old queen mattress however, that’s a plus for me. My sheets fit perfectly and the cover that I purchased for it also fit perfectly. I could not sit on the side of my bed with my old mattress, but I can sit on the side of this bed as long as I sit back and let my legs tangle from my knees. So far, I think it’s a great mattress and I would recommend the purchase for anyone.
