Seems to do the job. Time will tell.
Just got this strap swapped out on the winch. Certainly seems to be well stitched. Looks to be pretty standard in quality. Price was good. Looks like a win, from where I'm standing. Time will tell, after it gets wet a few times, and sees some sunshine. Overall very pleased with it.Helpful tip: The stitching at the hook will generally be the point of failure on most of these straps. In fact, the reason I bought this one, was to replace a 15 year old strap whos stitching failed. The strap itself was still in good shape. It was easier and less time consuming to replace it with a nice new one, than to repair the old one. SO the tip is to spray the stitched area of the strap with a plastic friendly spray paint, like Plastisol, or Fusion, to protect the thread from the sun's UV rays. It'll probably put another decade on the life of your strap. Happy Boating!
