If i plug these directly into my psu will they be permanently on or will they turn on / off with the pc?

I've plugged in using a standard molex and they turn on with the pc. They are not hugely bright but still look nice in a windowed case! Hope that answers your question

Do these actually admit uv light ?

For true UV you need cold cathode tubes that burn out quickly and stink when they go. These look OK though, its really deep glow that kinda looks like UV. And its emit not admit :)

The length dimensions seem quite small, is one pack enough to look effective?

Yeah 100% I only put one in my pc and thought I didn’t need the other one. One works fine but 2 just makes it look better

Does this work with Asus aura sync?

No. It has no RGB connection. Only the molex power connector.
