Affordable minimalist kids shoe!
These are great kids shoes with plenty of room for toe-splay and acceptably flexible soles. There is a little bit of padding for comfort inside, but no unnecessary stuff like arch support. The velcro and construction seems to be good quality, not cheap. By all accounts these look sturdy and I hope will have good longevity (I'll update this review later if we run into any problems but so far so good). The best thing is that they are half the price of kids shoes from bigger barefoot brands, making them accessible to the average family.Sizing seems to be essentially accurate, though maybe a smidge short on insole length. I sized up my oldest who has been consistently wearing a big kid size 3 into a 4 and that left some comfortable growing room. The size 3 was a little close on the toes for them. My 2nd child is only a 1/4" behind in foot length and should hopefully be good in a 3 for the rest of the year and I think a 4 would have been too big in their case. I have no hesitation buying the next size up when we do need it. Width-wise, the shoes are a good average-wide width. My oldest has much narrower feet than my 2nd child and slips around in wide shoes but is able to wear these without feeling loose or encumbered thanks to the double velcro straps. If I could suggest an improvement, it would be to offer more colorways. I ended up buying the navy for both children (a boy and a girl) and let them personalize with paint pens to differentiate.

WHITIN Toddler/Little/Big/Kid Wide Baref
★★★★★ These "Barefoot" Shoes Will Make Your Kids' Feet (and You) Happy!Listen up, fellow parents! If you've ever watched your kiddo naturally splay their toes while walking barefoot and thought, "Why can't shoes just... let feet be feet?" - well, these WHITIN shoes are about to rock your world!Picture this: A shoe that actually follows the natural shape of a child's foot (shocking, I know!). None of that pointy-toe nonsense that makes you wonder if shoe designers have ever actually seen a human foot. These bad boys are wide in the toe box, letting those little piggies spread out like nature intended! The Best Parts:- Zero-drop sole (that's fancy talk for "flat like bare feet")- Wide toe box that lets toes actually DO their job- Flexible enough to roll up (try that with traditional kids' shoes!)- Lightweight design that won't make your kid stomp around like a tiny astronaut- Actually affordable compared to other "natural" footwear optionsNow, fair warning: If your kids have been wearing traditional shoes, these might look a bit... different. Your mother-in-law might ask if you forgot to buy "real shoes." But trust me, watching your child's feet strengthen naturally and seeing them move with better balance? Worth every raised eyebrow at the playground!Pro Tip: Order your regular size, but don't freak out about the width - that extra toe space is intentional! It's not a manufacturing error, it's actually the whole point!Bottom Line: These shoes are like a permission slip for your kid's feet to do what they were designed to do. Plus, they're durable enough to survive playground adventures and easy enough to clean that you won't cry when they inevitably step in a puddle. For the price point, these are a fantastic introduction to minimalist footwear for growing feet. Your kids' toes will thank you, your wallet won't hate you, and you get to feel like that cool, informed parent who knows about natural movement development. Win-win-win!(Just be prepared - your kids might never want to go back to "normal" shoes again. Don't say I didn't warn you! 😉)

Perfect Kids' Shoes – Durable, Comfy, and Kid-Approved!
Absolutely love these shoes! My 5-year-old is already on his second pair, and he’s been wearing this brand exclusively for over a year now. They’re super easy for him to put on by himself—no help needed, which is a big win in the mornings. He never complains about how they feel on his feet. They’re clearly well made and built to last—he’s pretty rough on shoes, and these have held up really well. Plus, I can just toss them in the washing machine and they come out looking great, no fuss. As a busy parent, that alone is worth it!I’ll be buying these for as long as I can for both my sons. They just check every box: comfort, durability, easy on/off, and low maintenance. Worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Great wide toe box
These are a great quality shoe. The velcro adds ease to my daughter taking them off and putting them on. They are very flexible, breathable, and we LOVE the wide toe box. We have worn them nonstop since we’ve gotten them.

Good shoe, straps aren't awesome
We love Whitin in our house and these shoes were great for my child. Comfortable and breathable and easy to put on. He slips more in other shoes than he does in these ones and when you look at the bottom of the shoe it's clear why! The grip is a lot stronger on these ones. I love that they're not a heavy shoe. Only complaint is the velcro straps. They're exceptionally long? It's to where we tighten the shoe and there is like 2-3 inches of extra strap just dangling off the top of the shoe. It doesn't get in his way or cause problems but it does flap around a bit. Also the Velcro on the straps is coming off - probably something I could sew back together but that seems to be a bit of a quality issue. Pics are of the loose Velcro and how long the straps are!
