Great deal and the right tool for the job
I just used this item to replace the front struts on a BMW I3. The price was very reasonable! At first I was a bit worried that there wouldn't be enough clearance or that the wedge would be too thick--nope, not a problem at all. It fit perfectly, and it made removing the strut housing from the mount simple! The metal feels solid and this spreader is one that I'll be keeping in mind as I'm sure that I'll find another use for it.

Used it on a dodge dart from struts. Worked good, didn't break.

Saves hammering !
These worked great ! Seems to be adequate in quality . Can't comment on the durability cause I have only used them once .

Made life easy... SeriouslyAlthough the tool already has a bent lip after one use.Worked great to release the lower control arm.

Doesn’t work
Didn’t work you still have to widen the knuckle with a chisel and it falls out even if you use a impact gun or hand tools not worth the buy save your money buy a set of chisels and and a hammer

Does the job, but…
Does the job but the alignment dowels need to be longer because the tool likes to jam in the open position making it necessary to knock it out with a hammer. It needs to have more travel before binding from lack of support from the dowels.
