Garage Door Sensor GSTB-R STB-BL, Replacement for Genie/Overhead Garage Door Sensors, Garage Sensor for Genie Garage Door Openers Manufactured After 1993. (Receiving&Sending).

These were a perfect fitting replacement to my original overhead doors sensors. The connection points for the wire on these new sensors are screws that you can wrap the wire around and tighten down. The old sensors had push and lock pins for the wire. My home is30 years old and the sensor wires that were installed at the time of construction and are behind sheet rock and insulation have become brittle with age and the sheathing is hard and brittle so you want to be able to reconnect the wires to the new sensors with minimal manipulation of the wire. These sensors fit the bill and work perfectly. They slip on to the original mounting brackets with no problem and hold fast. This is a very easy replacement and the only tools I need was a wire cutter (old scissors are shears would work well,) flat blade screw driver, and a project knife to carefully cut and strip the wire sheathing. This IMHO opinion would rate 3 in a 1-10 difficulty scale. Cost was less than 1/2 of buying direct from the manufacturer. Hope this review helps make your buying decision easier.

Perfect, exactly what I needed.Item described perfectly. Replaced both sensors really fast. No struggling which is always the best. Paired with my genie stealth pro. With ease and no hassles on that end. Just be sure not to wire them first on the 4 slots 3 & 4 for the sensors and 1&2 for wall clicker.

My garage door sensors failed. They were at least 22 years old as I haven’t replaced them since we moved here in 2003. They snap into the old sensor brackets and you connect 2 wires to each sensor. The unit that emits the infrared light beam has a small green light the indicates it is working properly. The receiving sensor has a red light that will flash if the units are not properly aligned. It is solid red when aligned. Installation took less than 5 minutes. Couldn’t be easier…

Installed in less than 10 minutes; worked perfect. Seem to have relatively wide beam, so did not need to adjust alignment at all.

It was the right part, delivered at the defined time, straightforward installation. And, oh yeah, it worked. Garage door is no longer blinded by afternoon sunlight. It even mounted directly on the original mounting hardware, making the installation take about 10 minutes.

Worked instantly, as soon as the wires were fastened securely in place, the red and green lights went on. Pushed the garage door button and it went up and back down as it should. Loved how easy it was to install. Highly recommend it.
