Purchased this reel a year ago and that is about as long as it lasted. It is a very good reel, but I would say it is not for saltwater. I take good care of my equipment including desalting, rinsing, and oiling between uses. This outing, the reel became difficult to reel in and then final froze in the middle of a Cobia fight. Had to pull the line by hand to get the fish to the boat. If I had neglected the reel, not cleaning and maintenance the reel, then it would be on me. But that is not the case. Great reel for a year, fished it a dozen times, but not made for saltwater.

Great saltwater reel that is affordable. I put this on a 12' beach stick with 55lb braid. Holds a lot of thread! I've taken this to the beach several times and works like a champ. Landed 3' and 4' sharks, no problem. No salt or sand in the gears or at least I can't tell if there is. Can cast bait across a football field with end zones with a 6 oz weight.

Very smooth and drag gets tight fast I had some issues with the anti reverse switch when fighting a giant stingray for 2 hours it was slipping everyone and a while I reached out to customer support and they are sending me a brand new one on the house great people over there definitely recommend this product

I've only used this reel a couple of times and i've only had it for about 6 months. The drag system just broke. You can flip the button either way but the reel just spins. I don't even know how it happened. I was just fishing and didn't even have a fish on when it broke.

Used at Texas coast for about 12 weeks total since my purchase. I even forgot to wash it with clean water after use a few times and it's working great for me. Great reel for the buck.
