Rough shaping stone
Big, heavy, course stone. I soak it, place in a holder, and grind out chips and dings while grinding a new fresh bevel. Works very well, and is easy to flatten before drying and storing. Perfect course stone

Super fast cutting great stone
This is a very fast cutting stone. I really like Naniwa stones and have the entire Chosera line. I use this for correction, machetes that get used cutting brush and it's fast. To put it in perspective I have a Shapton Pro 120grit (white stone) Its twice as fast if you happen to have experience with the Shapton Pro 120grit. It's basically a pink brick. I soak it but it doesn't seem to hold water, if you are sharpening in a dull lighted area with a carbon steel blade you will even see a glow of sparks coming off while doing your strokes across this stone.
