I bought this for my husband who is now quite the Old Fashioned connoisseur and it has added the perfect touch to our Friday night happy hours! It is very easy to use, to clean and to charge up. It comes with several different types of wood chips which pair nicely with the type of flavor used in our drink. You do need to buy the butane for the lighter but otherwise, the complete set is perfect for beginners!

Great cocktail smoker! Creates more smoke than my other cocktail smoker that just relies on gravity to smoke the drink. Comes in a nice box with more accessories than most and imparts more flavor due to the higher smoke production.

The media could not be loaded. I’m new to the game when it comes to cocktail smokers. But I’m a bourbon man, so I thought why not give it a shot.The cocktail smoker came well packaged with a nice assortment of woodchip cans to get you started. I opted to try it out with a 9-year-old Knob Creek bourbon and the cherry wood chips. (Note: A card was included with my kit that offered free cans of wood chips if you email or text them.) The device needed to be charged when I received it as it wouldn’t even light up. To get things started, I gave it about a 15-minute charge which seems to have been enough for my one drink.I hit a little snag on my first use since the included torch lighter wasn’t working (yes, I filled it with butane). I was able to light the included lighter with another flame, and it appears the piezo ignitor on the included lighter was not functioning (-1 star for that).I put just enough of the cherry wood chips to cover the screen (as per instructions) and torched it enough to get it smoking (instructions say to torch it for about 10-20 seconds). The glass filled with the cherry wood smoke (and so did a little of my basement where I was trying this). I think it’s a good idea to keep something close to snuff out the embers once you’ve achieved your desired smoke level in the glass.The instructions said to press the power button “after desired smokiness is achieved” but since I’m new to this so that meant nothing to me. A quick internet search and an AI interpretation of a few website suggest that I want to leave it smoking for 15 minutes, which I did. FYI – 15 minutes is a long time to stare at a drink while you salivate, so I’d suggest setting a timer and coming back to it.After the 15 minutes had [finally] passed, it was time to try out my new potion. How was it? It was enjoyable. The smokiness that was imparted to my bourbon added another level of depth, almost like combining bourbon with a fine cigar. I look forward to trying out the other included woods. After sniffing in the different cans, I think I’ll try the Apple wood next.Overall, I enjoyed the experience and wish I didn’t have to deduct a star due to the defective lighter. I look forward to trying the other flavors of wood and maybe bringing this out when I have guests over.

Bought this smoker just to try something different and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. I love a good smoky Scotch and this smoker adds that type of flavor to my American Whiskey or Bourbons. I highly recommend this smoker to enhance your drink experience!
