Great keyless entry deadbolt
Great keyless entry! Super easy to setup, app works seamlessly. Adjustable volume. Fingerprints are accurate and you can assign multiple fingers for each user. Sturdy build, good battery life.

Great smart lock
I have been using smart locks for years, and this is my third. The Eufy replaced an August lock, so that will be the direct comparison. The August just replaced the inside portion, so reused the deadbolt mechanism. This Eufy replaces the entire unit, which has both advantages and disadvantages. If you're a renter, or want/need to maintain the existing key, leaving the existing deadbolt is preferred. However, replacing the entire mechanism, like the Eufy does, allows for more features, like the included keypad and fingerprint reader. For the August, the keypad was an add on.The Eufy also included wifi built-in, where with the August it was a separate component that was plugged in near the lock. While that requires more batteries for the Eufy, I prefer the all-in-one solution. The other advantage of the Eufy replacing the entire mechanism is how much more positive and direct the lock feels when locking/unlocking it manually. The August would sometimes get out of sync, and when turning the lock knob by hand, it would engage the motor and you would be turning that, too. The motorized locking is also more precise, and quieter, on the Eufy. The last advantage is really only for those already using Eufy. Having it integrated with the camera app is great. If you have a camera at the entry, you can locl/unlock the door from the same screen as viewing the camera. The fingerprint scanner works great, and is faster and easier than using a code. The one complaint I have is in the app. If you add codes for people like pet sitters, cleaning people, etc., you are limited in terms of how you allow them to use the lock. It's either always or scheduled. And you can't change that without removing the code and adding it back. You also can turn a code on and off. You have to remove it and add it. That's annoying and an inexcusable oversight. Hopefully that will be addressed at some point, but I don't have high hopes.

The Matter is amazing!
The Eufy Smart Lock is a sleek addition to any home security system. It offers keypad entry and mobile app control. As an owner of various Eufy devices, I value how well they integrate into their ecosystem, allowing for easy monitoring and access management. The keypad works well in various weather conditions. With impressive battery life and backup options, the Eufy Smart Lock is a reliable and convenient investment for enhanced security.

Reliable and Easy to Use, With One Small Quirk
Setup was a breeze — I had it installed and connected in minutes. Day‑to‑day performance is excellent, with smooth locking/unlocking and a solid feel. The only downside is that it occasionally loses connection, which means I have to reset it by removing the batteries. It’s a minor inconvenience in an otherwise great smart lock.I love that it supports Apple HomeKit via the Thread/Matter protocol, so I can set up access codes directly in the Home app without needing any extra apps.

Eufy Smart Lock Review — A Huge Upgrade Over Schlage EncodeAfter struggling with two Schlage Encode locks, I decided to replace them with Eufy smart locks, and I couldn’t be happier with the switch. My Experience With Schlage EncodeUnfortunately, the Schlage Encode locks consistently gave me trouble. Despite repeated attempts, I was unable to update the firmware, and getting the locks to join my Wi-Fi network was frustratingly unreliable. A quick search online confirmed that I wasn’t alone — plenty of other users reported the same issues. These ongoing problems eroded my confidence in the Schlage devices. Why Eufy Stands OutIn contrast, the Eufy smart locks have worked perfectly from day one. Setup was simple, and they connected to Wi-Fi without any hassle. The locks have been reliable ever since, with no dropped connections or update headaches.I also appreciate the build quality:The Eufy lock operates quietly — no loud clunking noises like I experienced with the Schlage. The rear latch feels solid, with no excessive play or looseness.Seamless integration with Doorbells like the e340 for unlockingFinal ThoughtsIf you’re looking for a smart lock that simply works, I highly recommend giving Eufy a try. After my disappointing experience with Schlage, Eufy’s reliability and thoughtful design have been a refreshing change.

Everything I wanted in a smart lock, and more.
Easy installation and setup! Looks great and has worked flawlessly. Fingerprint reader is fast and so convenient! The fact I already had Eufy cameras and didn't need another app was definitely a bonus. Should have ditched the Schlage smart lock a long time ago!

Matter over Thread with Eero - controlled with Smartthings 2.0
The C34 lock works good now that I figured out what I needed to do to have Smartthings V2.0 use my Eero routers Matter over Thread network. I've also got them set up through Google home. We'll have to see how long the batteries last, it's only been 2 weeks. Seem very quality. Easy to install.
