An ideal external powering companion for your NP-FW50 powered camera!!
These leads proved to be ideal for my Sony a6500 and can't fault them which are ideal for being powered by the aid of a suitable external 30,000ah portable power bank!Suffice to say that the AC-PW20 Dual USB Power Kit connected with a NP-FW50 DC Coupler Dummy Battery proved to be ideal for my Sony a6500 or indeed any camera that requires a NP-PW50 DC battery whether that is the Sony A6000 range or the A5000 or the NEX-3 series such as the NEX-5N/5R/5C/5T series & NEX-6 & 7 series, A33,DSC-RX10 & mrk II respectively! So if like me and you feel that your camera is hungry on your NP-FW50 DC battery then this kit really is "a must have" so it really is a no brainer! Compatibility with a suitably rated portable power pack or is connected to a V-lock PSU and V-lock Battery (if your planning on building a much larger cinematic rig) then it's pretty much a case of plug and play really (proper rated voltage & current outlets accepted ofcourse).Soon you'll find that having to charge up your camera battery as often as you once did with limited operation times really will be a thing of the past with this kit!My personal recommendations to compliment this kit with your camera would be a compatibly sized camera cage with fitted handle with a 20-30,000ah portable power bank with power bank cradle holder firmly attached from a brand of your preference whether it's courtesy of SmallRig© or Neewer© etc then your pretty much all professionally set basically! The AC-PW20 Dual USB Power Kit really is "a must have" and is sold from a reputedly very good Amazon seller that one could not fault!Kind regards and remember to stay safe during these exceedingly very difficult times that we are all experiencing right now!Craig 👍

Works perfectly! Extends the battery life on my A6300 brilliantly.
Just purchased this for my Sony A6300 for use connected to my Anker/Aukey powerbanks.Having done the continuous record limit removal on the A6300 I have been testing the camera recording 4k 25fps and it's been running solidly now for 45 minutes uninterrupted and still according to the camera has 85%. Previous tests with normal NP-FW50 Sony batteries have overheated the camera at around the 30 minute mark.Edit: Have reached the 47 minute mark and the overheating warning sign has appeared but is still filming.Edit 2: Has reached over an hour of filming without overheating - onscreen battery reading at 82%. Removed the dummy battery and put back in the same dummy battery and turned back on the camera - reading of 94% and no heat warning sign. Very impressed. My power bank still shows four full LEDs so I presume this could power for a lot longer time than the predicted on screen percentage on the camera. The product itself seems well constructed, has a solid cable and connector and the dummy battery you insert itself seems of good quality. Instructions are simple and printed on a sheet of A4 but pretty self explanatory.Note: You will need an external battery or power source that delivers over 2A of power. My Aukey 20,000mah deliver 2.4 and is working great.

Does the job
Using this for my EOS 4000D, it's definitely not made for this since you need to keep the battery door open but it does work. Item feels a little bit cheap but after using it for 4 or so months letting me use my camera as a webcam (quite infrequently) it has been worth every penny. It used to be a hassle changing the battery after every call but this has been performing nearly flawlessly. The only real issue i've had is it needed to be unplugged and plugged back in a few times because the camera wasn't powering on - pretty rare issue though for me.

Mains power for Canon EOS600D in video conferencing - Works brilliantly!
I’ve owned a Canon EOS600D for about 6 years now. I’d purchased additional batteries for the camera over the years. Since March 2020 I’ve been working from home using a works laptop. Due to limited space the works laptop was set up to my side with a monitor plugged in. This meant that in a video call I was splitting my attention between the laptop and the monitor. Canon released a nifty piece of software that allowed a computer to see the camera as a device for use in video call software (Skype, Zoom, Teams etc). This worked perfectly and I was able to set the camera up above the main monitor. This gave me a much better video call quality too. The drawback to this is that the batteries drained very quickly when the camera was being used in a video capacity for hours a day. I picked up this battery/power adapter and it solved all my problems. It easily connected up to the camera with the USB-A connector plugging in to an old iPhone plug. Now I can have lengthy video calls everyday of the week without any power problems. I haven’t used this in a “studio photography” setting, just as a source of power for video calls. For this it has worked exceptionally and I can recommend the product for this purpose.
