Function well in checking cake, cupcake, etc. for doneness. Easy cleaning with good value for the money and seems durable. Has a storage case for safety which I like.

Works well - the red top is easy to find quickly.Much easier than trying to find a toothpick long enough.I like that it as a case to keep it clean and straight.Good buy

It is what it is
It is a cake tester. It comes in it's little tube. I guess it is as good as a cake tester can be. If it was bad I would have noticed, so as cake testers go, unless you get one that jumps into the cake and jumps out all by itself, this one gets top rating.

Very cheaply made
This works like any metal stick for cake testing, but don't buy it. The plastic holder at the top bleeds red onto the towel after handwashing, and it's clearly made of inferior materials. Who knows what you're being exposed to when touching it? Yuck!

Better than a toothpick
I had one of these years ago and loved it, it disappeared after a move and I was so glad to find this! It's way better than a short toothpick and can be used be used for years.
