⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Deep, Room-Shaking Bass That Completes the Arc Ultra
I paired the Sonos Sub 4 with my Arc Ultra soundbar, and the difference is unbelievable. The dual Sonos-engineered drivers produce bass that’s not just deep, but clean and powerful—no distortion, no buzz, just rich low end that you can feel as much as hear. The ported enclosure really brings out those low frequencies, making movies, games, and music incredibly immersive. The force-canceling acoustic design works exactly as promised—I can push the volume and still get distortion-free bass. Setup couldn’t be easier: plug in the power, connect through the Sonos app, and it’s ready to go. I love the flexibility too—you can stand it up or lay it flat to tuck it under a sofa.Combined with the Arc Ultra, this setup truly transforms your living room into a theater. Add one Sub and you’ll be amazed; add two and you’re in for a mind-blowing experience. The sleek matte finish and sculptural design also make it a showpiece rather than something you’d want to hide.If you own an Arc Ultra, the Sub 4 is an absolute must-have. Together, they deliver cinematic sound that rivals high-end theaters right in your home.

Incredible Bass Upgrade – A Perfect Pairing for the Arc Ultra
Adding the Sonos Sub (Gen 4) to my Arc Ultra soundbar was the best decision I’ve made for my home theater setup. While the Arc already delivers exceptional sound, the Sub takes it to an entirely new level by adding that deep, cinematic bass that you can feel as much as you hear. The sound is incredibly rich and immersive. Whether it’s an action-packed movie or a music playlist, the Sub provides those low-frequency tones that truly bring the experience to life. Explosions, rumbling effects, and bass-heavy tracks now feel like they’re happening right in my living room—it’s like having a professional movie theater at home.Setup was a breeze, just like with the Arc. The Sonos App made it simple to pair the Sub with my existing system, and fine-tuning the sound to fit my room was effortless. The wireless design also makes it easy to place the Sub anywhere in the room for optimal performance.I know some people debate whether the Sub is a "necessary" addition to the Arc, but for me, it absolutely is. If you want that room-shaking, heart-thumping bass that completes the home theater experience, the Sub is essential.I couldn’t be happier with this upgrade—it’s the perfect companion to the Arc Ultra soundbar and worth every penny for anyone who values premium sound quality. Highly recommend!

Excellent!!!
Great things comes in the smallest packages. Sonos’s hit an home run with this one two baseball fields and beyond. The power is amazing. Had a SVS 16 inch sub prior in the bedroom. I don’t miss it. This baby is packing.

Not what I expected but still good
I had a Era 100 stereo pair and a sub mini in my Family Room and it sounds great. I have another Era 100 Stereo pair in my Living Room with a sub mini, but although good, the bass was lacking. So since you can't add another sub mini to a pre-existing stereo pair, I made a third Era 100 stereo pair w/ a sub mini and put the sub mini in the living room and had two subs going, giving me the sound I wanted. At the time I didn't want to spend $800 for a Gen 3 sub woofer and didn't like the piano black glossy finish. Two sub minis w/out tax is $858, so I didn't mind spending a little more for the two sub minis over the one Gen 3, granted i did have to purchase another Era 100 to make it work. Then there was the announcement of the Gen 4 coming out, with a matte finish. Prior to the Sub 4 being announced and released I had been asking myself, "What if? what if? So I got the Gen 4 thinking I could always return it. I set it up in my Living Room replacing one of the sub minis in the Era 100 stereo pair. I think I was expecting too much because I had read the Gen 3 was so powerful and some users even had to turn the bass down into the negative, so I really had high expectations for this sub woofer. I knew the output was the same as the Gen 3, just an updated processer and a matte finish. I played different tracks from Rap, pop, classical, country, dance mixes and although I noticed more bass from the Gen 4, I was like , "Meh". After True Play tuning it a few times , even advanced True Play I was a little disappointed. I tested the different music on the Gen 4 for about an hour and was left under-whelmed. I wasn't going to return this thing because 1. the box was too big, didn't want to go through the hassle and 2. it wasn't disappointing enough to warrant a return. Ultimately I ended up moving it to my Family Room and took the sub mini that was in my Family Room and put it in my Living Room. The two sub minis in my Living Room sound great, they were made for each other, compared to the Gen 4 and sub mini together. The Gen 4 sounds better in the Family room with the Era 100's and that is where I 'll leave it. All of my Sonos speakers are for music only as I already have a dedicated Home Theater. I've read the Gen 3, 4 are particularly better sounding with cinema because it's a ported speaker, whereas the sub mini is better for music because it's sealed. IDK, other than the shape the sub mini and Gen 4 are similar in respect because they both have facing sub woofers. One is boxy shaped the other is cylindrical in shape. All in all, my expectations were way too high, but in the long run I think I will enjoy the Gen 4.
