Star Wars Darth Vader Electronic Lightsaber Toy

Ive waited 3.5 months to give this light saber a review and I will say that it has exceeded my expectations in every way which is a monumental feat in itself. I bought 2 of these (blue & red) for a 2.5 yr old grandson so he could play 'Star Wars' with anyone willing to take him on. The sabers self-power down after no motion in a few minutes which saves the battery. The original lithium batteries I installed are still working, and he constantly asks to play with them. The power up/down sounds, idle hum and battle clash sounds are awesome just like the movies. The fierceness with which he attacks & battles catches adults offguard and the sabers have not broken yet. I AM DARTH VADER !

Pretty good and sturdy. The only issue that I have is that it does not retract all the way into the handle. When retracted all the way, the first section of red light saber is still extended. Didn’t seem to bother the kid but it kind of bugs me.

This is a great toy- makes appropriate light saber noises when moved, decent light from it, we've really banged it around in "battles" around the house and its reasonably sturdy. Particularly the sound when its turned on is a great replica of the movie light saber sound.

I bought this a a Valentine's Day gift for my three year old daughter and it's a great toy. It's similar to others that you've seen and of better quality than some that are out there. It's pretty much exactly what I expected. Three AAA batteries required, not sure if that's in the description.

It was fun while it lasted.it broke in like 4 weeks, the bottom broke off of the saber part but it was good until then

I ordered this for my son and what I got was a plastic light saber, no lights, no electronic nothing...I was totally ripped off.

My 5 year old is lately obsessed with Lego Star Wars stuff. He made his own (with some mom help) light sabers out of cardboard wrapping paper rolls and tissue paper but they folded after several weeks of Yoda verses Duku. I figured that he was due for a holiday upgrade. Man, his face when he opened the tri-pack of these Hasbro light sabers! They're only a couple of days into their abuse, but they are holding up well. They are solid and look awesome in the dark. They make great light saber-ish noise when swinging or clashing. I recommend a pair of them in different colors. The $14.99 each was well spent.

Better than expected. You push a button and the light comes on. When you swing you hear saber sound effects. Seems pretty sturdy, time will tell if my 4 year old will break it. I also bought the Jarrus, and yoda sabers, all are slightly different, but same quality. I would recommend. As a side note, it was cheaper on Amazon than what I saw in the store, so that is a plus.
