Poorly made enough to leak after soldering.
I don't really understand why these fittings have received so many positive reviews. They're poorly made, in my opinion.I give them a VERY generous 3 star rating. As soon as you open the broken plastic sandwich bag they arrive in, you'll see with the naked eye that they're openings at each end are a little bit misshapen. Especially the solder sweat side, as opposed to the threaded side. In my opinion, they all seem out of round enough to start leaking, even if you've done a good job of soldering them in.And even the threaded side looks rough enough to destroy any teflon plumber's tape you intend to put around the threads to help seal them properly.I chose not to use them, and ate the cost of having purchased them online, plus the extra money to re-buy them from a local hardware store that stocked something else. Better than dealing with leaks a year from now... after the job has been 'done'...I don't know who makes these copper tubing connection necklace trinkets... which is about all they're good for. But there's no markings on the connectors. Though, I doubt they're manufactured in China. Because frankly, China makes better quality stuff. --Seriously...These sad pipe connectors look more like they're made by a band of jungle primates, beating the parts together with bamboo tree limbs and their naked monkey-feet.You can find quality copper tubing connector parts and couplings on Amazon. I'm just saying that these aren't one of them.Spend a few pennies more and get something better. Either on Amazon, or somewhere else. Just don't buy these ones.Otherwise, you're just making those laughing jungle-monkeys richer. Then pretty soon, they'll be rich enough to buy the house next door to YOU !
