Great slicer!
The media could not be loaded. Great quality slicer! It firmly sits on the counter and doesn’t scoot around. Has options on slicing thickness. Very easy to use and works well.

Well Worthwhile Household Appliance
I was torn between giving this a 5 or a 4 star review. But since they made no statement of being a professional grade slicer, this appliance, in a price to performance analysis, clearly deserves a 5 star review. It's not a professional slicer. Yet for home usage, it performs above others I have used in my 67 years. So far, I've used it to cut charcuterie of meats & cheese, plus artisan breads. Meats and cheeses it did effortlessly, and the quality of the cut was much the same as in any butcher shop. The harder crusts of some drier bread did slow the blade down slightly. But here too, a clean cut. Size of bread loaf could become a problem for some 1lb (plus) round loaves. But, half pound round and oval 1lb are not a problem. So, it really comes down to what you want to use it for. If you want to use it for butchering (and cutting bones) it would be better to go with a 5x to 10x more expensive professional grade cutter. If you want to have it for home usage, it's spot on, and at a good price for the quality and performance it delivers.

Hard to clean
This item worked well, but hard to clean. I wish more parts were removable.

Cool toy only for infrequent use and only for soft items. You could end up with plastic in your food
I bought this slicer because I liked the price, the brand name, and because the blade size and alleged motor power. I never owned an electric Deli Slicer before, and I mainly wanted one for slicing hard salami. It looks very well made. Unfortunately once I actually tried it, I was very disappointed. First, the motor turns the blade pretty slow, and as soon as it the blade hits the food it slows even further. Second, no matter how thin you set the guard, once the food hits the blade the force twists the guide and the guard apart and the slices end up being thicker than you want. Third, the plastic food shield has spikes on it that are supposed to bite into the food for safety. But those spikes are long enough to actually get cut off by the blade and now my spikes are a bit flat on the end. (I didn't notice how they tasted.) Finally (and worst of all) the sliding food tray has one guide wheel all the way on the front end, and no support on the back end where the food rests. Any food that is heavy (like salami) will weigh down the sliding tray and as you push the food through the blade, distort it enough that it makes contact with the blade. My food tray has a chewed up rear edge and my slices end up with tiny flecks of black plastic.I imagine that if you only use it for lightweight, soft food it would be a breeze. But you can slice that yourself with a good knife. For hard salami, it is NOT GOOD.I also tried it with a softer roast. On very thin, it shredded a lot of the meat, so that the entire blade area was full of small pieces of meat. I had to keep turning off to collect my shreds. About half of my roast ended up as shredded beef.My suggestion to the company would be to a) add a second guide wheel underneath the rear edge of the food tray to support it better, and b) maybe make the business edge of the food tray slightly tapered or curved so that it can't get sliced away by the blade. Of course this could make the last slice of food get stuck it that space...

Feels like I have my own deli
Slicer is very easy to setup and disassemble for cleaning. The blade is very capable of slicing your meat of choice, I used mine for slicing roasts/steak for turning into jerky and never had a single problem. I do recommend keeping something like toothpicks handy because there are a couple small spots that are recessed and little bits of meat or fat can get into them, not impossible to clean, but a lot easier with said item. Overall I would recommend to anyone looking for something easy to use for personal use.

Consider the warranty the same as no warranty
The motor will burn up with very little use. The warranty is the same as no warranty...It says there is one but try to use it. If you want something to last, this is not it. So I had mine for 5 months, used it about 4 times a month, about 15 minutes each time. Sliced for about 3 minutes and then rested while I prepped what I sliced. Then it made a squealing sound and smoke started coming out of the machine. I believe the motor burnt up. I took it apart and the wings look like they broke off somehow. Went through the steps for the warranty to no avail. Anyway, it slices thin but crooked and that was okay for my purposes.Things to consider...If you are looking for something, short time with little use, this is it. The price is right and you can probably buy another and still be cheaper than buying one that will last. However, if you want something to last with an honorable warranty, pass on this one.All I did was add the cost of this to a much better slicer when I should have just purchased a better one in the first place…just saying.Warranty response: Thank you for filing a case withChefman Support! We're happy to help you with every step of your culinary journey. One of our experts will get back to you within 2-3 business days.2 days later: Thank you so much for reaching out and sending this over. I am so sorry to see this. I would like to schedule a call with you to discuss what happened. Is there a good time to reach you on Monday?Responded to this 4 times....nothing.

Good so far
I've been wanting a meat slicer for a while now. I chose the Chefman because it had good reviews. The commercial slicers are ridiculously expensive! So far we're happy with it. It's a good weight, so hopefully that means it's sturdy. It has performed well so far. The speed is ok. It seems easy to adjust the thickness of the slices. The blades are sharp and seem easy to remove to wash it after use. I love that it has many slicing options. I'm going to try slicing bread with it too.
