A review of the Poetic Revolution case for the Oneplus 12R phone.This is my first of their cases and I was interested to try one as it looked very similar to the Unicorn Beetle case I'd had on my HTC10 for the last few years. Unicorn don't yet do the 12R hence my looking elsewhere and finding this case.Upon arrival it was indeed a very, very similar design even down to coming with a plastic screen protecter attached, just like the Unicorn and the Poetic Revolution has the kick-stand on the back.So similar in fact that I googled to see if the two firms were connected in some way.They weren't, tho' both are American so whose design came first I've no idea.One difference is that Poetic Justice provide 2 front pieces/top frames one with and one without the plastic screen protecter.The unicorn only came with one and I soon removed it to fit a glass one, as you can do with this one if you choose.Glass protectors are always preferable as they are easier to wipe fingerprints & smudges off than the plastic ones.The Unicorn on the HTC 10 got dropped on the bottom left corner at one point and the plastic top frame cracked on the corner, it didn't affect it's protection and just meant you had to be a bit more careful when removing/refitting it.With this in mind and with this case coming with 2 frames it's nice to have a spare.As said, they are a very snug fit.I learned the easiest way to remove them due to that cracked frame.The rubber edges have a slight lip that clips over the edges of the plastic frame top.You start on one of the bottom corners by getting your fingernail in between the edge of the rubber at the point where the usb socket is and gently prise it over the edge of the plastic frame, be careful as at that spot it is only a thin strip and easy to snap, as it eventually does over time with repeated opening & closing of the charging plug cover.Once you have your nail under it run your finger towards one corner then get another fingernail at the bottom of the side of the case and you can gently prise that rubber corner of the case off the phone.From that you can either do the other bottom corner of the side next by running your fingernail between the plastic & the rubber and sliding it along to release the full length of rubber from the top of the case.When you have one side & the bottom released the phone pulls out easily.All in all a great case that, going of my previous experience with the Unicorn, I know will provide full protection for my phone and prove just as durable.

Real value for money this case does an excellent job of protecting your phone and the camera lens.It is sturdy and well made with the added bonus of a screen protector with finger print build in, but make sure that you are happy that you will not have to remove the finger print screen as this will make it unusable I had reason to contact there website and found that customer support were extremely helpful with my enquiry and we're easy to work with.Definitely worth buying.

This is a great phone case; it fits my OnePlus 12 perfectly, and the functionality of the back stand mechanism is fantastic to open, and it closes flush with the case. I also use the back stand as a grip/handle so I don't drop my phone when walking around. The option to have the front of the phone case enclosed with a screen protector film attached or have it open and use your own is great.I have repeatedly dropped my phone, and it has kept it nice and safe.My only slight con of the case is that if you use and abuse the stand, it is liable to break, as it's still a thin piece of plastic on the joint, but this is a user fault, not the case itself.

Very hard to separate pieces and then put back together. Feels flimsy in my hand. Not worth the time or money

It's a very sturdy case that fits very well, the camera shutter is very slightly tricky to open, but once you've used it a few times you get used to it, the stand on the back is the most unique stand I've seen on a phone case, this case is well worth the money.

Riding along the canal with my OnePlus 12 in this case loosely in my pocket. Must have dropped it at speed at least 5 times - totally fine. Just ordered a replacement because the charger port plug has become loose but I wouldn't risk buying any other case. The durability this case grants your phone is wild.

Does everything I like in a case. Protective. Chunky. Covers all buttons and protects the charging port from dirt. But the stand on the back of the case since I bought it won't open half the time. There's a sliding pin and the pin moves back and fourth so can't slide down the bit to stand it up. Have to shake the phone for the pin to unstick from the side and then sometimes I can use the stand.
