I barely ever write non incentivized reviews but I owe it to Sally! I've been using her banana bread recipe for many years now and her chewy chocolate chip cookies recipe too. So glad both are included as well as hers tips and tricks. That's the science of baking that is all of us should be able to understand and she makes it so easy! Love Sally and her team! I am delighted to see those benefits translate beautifully to book form, with tons of additional recipes not found on her blog! The pictures are gorgeous, and include some step-by step-break downs for visual learners. Recipes and instructions are well organized, and each has a little summary of skill level and time investment so you can quickly decide where to dive in. Both US and metric measurements are included. Great gift for beginner or advanced home bakers. I'm so excited to get going on these - I expect delicious results!

I love this new cookbook! Sally does an excellent job of explaining the HOWs and WHYs of baking. Her notes help you to know how a step should look, why to have the ingredients at room temperature, if you can make something ahead, or freeze it, or even make a substitution. Sally's recipes are always my "go to" when I have to make a dish for company or to take to an event. The recipes in Sally's Baking 101 are easy to follow, and the photographs are so beautiful!
