Our original 10 year old Braun ear thermometer finally broke after dropping it. The only thing I really wanted out of this thermometer was a backlit screen. This updated version is sleeker and even the case is more streamlined. I love that it still runs on standard AA since we have a tone of rechargeables.Yes, it’s expensive compared to the knockoffs and no-name brands, but it’s a trusted brand in our household with young kids. The temperatures compare to the readings at our doctor’s office.

This is my second purchase of the exact same thermometer. I made the first purchase 6-7 years ago and have been so happy with it I decided to buy another one dedicated for the baby bag for just incase situations. It is easy and intuitive enough that I never had to read through the manual and could use it straight out of the box. The batteries last a long time too.

This is really one of those game changer products. Seriously. This has been a rough sick season for my kids and not having to really disturb them to check their temps. I check them when they are resting without having to make a whole deal out of it now.

My little dude is pretty sensitive to having his temperature taken, especially in the ear. For whatever reason, he does not mind this thermometer. He enjoys looking at the different colors and "helping" with the child age selection. The read is fast and accurate (cross-referenced with other thermometers we have which we know to be accurate). This is absolutely worth paying the extra $20-$30 more than your average no-name thermometer as the quality is far superior.

Although you can use the thermometer right out of the box, full setup by installing the app and reviewing the instructions will make your user experience better. The app includes tutorials on how to set a default age range, which once set makes the thermometer much more usable. App install itself is unnecessarily complex with multiple multi-page user agreements required as well as additional user info required. I was ready to buy another thermometer before I realized there was app integration and setup necessary for full functionality. BTW, the "baby" icons are weird, disturbing, and unnecessary.Following setup, I really like the thermometer and the app integration for tracking temperature history. Backlight display and lighted sensor for night-time use are quite helpful. Consistent, fast, repeatable readings for confidence in the measurements.I recommend this product. Minus 1-star for complex setup.

This thermometer hands-down is top notch makes taking my daughter’s temperature very easy. She never gives us a problem when we asked to take a temperature record very accurately and quickly because you know how it is to try to have a toddler sit still for more than 10 seconds. I highly recommend this purchase. If you have children is a very easy effective way to take an accurate reading of your child’s temperature.
